I was told this was the only version that would work with prepaid, the others on the Verizon website are for contracts. If you have Verizon you may or may not have a hotspot depending on your phone check with your service and contract provider.

The hot spot Connects tontjenprovider (in this case: Verizon) and your device connects via Wifi. So ANY Wifi device will connect. The difference in hotspots is data transfer rates, and signal distance strength. Unless you have a special need for fast data transfer rates or will be a significant distance from he hotspot, then most jet packs are compatible. Be sure the service (Verizon) service signal is available in the area that you intend to use the jet pack. If you are in remote areas, it's common that only one service provider's signal is available.
