• CNET just confirmed the M series uses 60hz panel. The refresh rate being 120hz is fake news as suspected. The TV still got great review.

• It's a 60hz panel technically, with the 120hz on the Clear Action toggle. The P Series has a true 120hz panel.

• It’s 60. They use some trickery to get that 120 number but it certainly isn’t real 120. It’s been this way with Vizios for a while.

• The refresh rate is 60Hz. The "effective" rate of 120Hz is achieved by inserting a black frame between frames via the "Clear Action" being toggled to "On". Therefore the physical refresh rate is 60Hz, whereas the software refresh rate is an " effective" 120Hz.
