It upscales everything automatically, otherwise the picture wouldn't take up the whole screen. You can play with the sharpness setting if the upscaled image looks too "soft" but don't turn sharpness up too much or it will make it look worse.

The TV is nearly flawless, with its only real weakness being its ability the upscale. The lower the resolution of the source, the poorer the picture quality.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All TVs scale content to their native resolution. This TV runs natively at 4K resolution, so it upscales everything to that. It does this automatically.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes .. you have the coice to upscale or not. Be default all content is upscaled to 4K if directly connected to the TV. I connect it throuh my AVR, so it does the upscaling.
