• Yes, it is the same app that comes preinstalled with the tablet included with the TV. Vizio Smart Cast.

• Based on the research I have done on this TV, yes, you can use your own smartphone/tablet and download the app to control the tv.

• The Vizio Smartcast App can be downloaded on Google Play and functions the same as it does on the tablet. The tablet is essentially a stock Android device with apps loaded to it that works with Chromecast.
