“Are the two surround speakers separate rear L & R channels or is it a "fake" surround?”

They have their own Channel. they plug into the sub which then is wireless transmitted the the soundbar but they do have a channel for L and R.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They are separate channels, both of the small speakers are designated to either left or right including the cords and where it plugs into the subwoofer. Works wonderfully and you can customize the sounds and volume
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this as a gift for my daughter at Christmas...She has nothing but praise for the sound. I cannot answer as to true surround sound. For the price, I don't think you will be disappointed. If you don't like it, you can always return. Harry
