Yes, you can run games directly off this drive. I believe the game needs to be a ps5 native game, but there might have been an update to allow ps4 games to be able to be played straight from the drive. I have both saved on this exact drive.

It will run your PS5 games straight from this hard drive and you cannot tell the difference from the original hard drive

If you’re referring to the PlayStation 5 then yes, you can run games directly off this. You can also set it to be the default PS5 game installation drive.

With the recent major system software update for PS5, any compatible M.2 drive will allow you to play games- PS5 and PS4 alike, directly from the internal sad. This includes downloading updates as well.

I purchase one for PS5 and I'm able to transfer games over and play them directly off ssd
