You may want to add a cooling fan/ heat sync unit to prevent any additional heat from happening.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My laptop doesn’t have a heat sink for the SSD and it’s running fine so I bet you’ll be fine as well. You can also download the WD software that shows you the temps of the drive.

Its comes with option of heatsink and non- heatsink option to use in. Please check with the manufacturer vendor whether the WD drive will fit and support the host device.
