The biggest problem with most Stephen King adaptations is that they are made into 90-120 minute movies. When you're dealing with a 1,000 plus page book, that just doesn't do it justice. Doing it as a miniseries helps to get as much of the material in, stay true to story, and not be punching a clock.

I have always loved Stephen King's work, but many of his best stories have been made into mediocre tv series. This on the other hand was very well done...finely crafted and beautifully filmed. The actors did a superb job with their respective roles as well. A bit melodramatic at times, but one of his best tv series to be sure. If you haven't seen it, you should...and read the book too, it's most excellent!

We do not get the channel that 11.22.63 is on. I've heard it is a wonderful series, and having loved the book of the same title by Stephen King I had to get this DVD set. Fantastic series! From the music to the automobiles to the costumes...everything is perfectly set to the early 1960s. Definitely recommend this.

What if you could go back in time to change/prevent bad things in history? Would you? Should you? This explores just that with a man going back in time to try to prevent the assassination of JFK, but at every turn something seems to prevent him from changing things with even worse results at time.

This series was great and I purchased this on sale. It is a interesting story of what ifs. The choice these characters make has consequences and no matter what they do there is a good and bad to each one. If you like Stephen King movies this is a must purchase. Now I have to read the book!

Stephen King has written one of his best stories with this one. The movie plays a little with the story but the differences keep the bulk of the story in place. One of the best stories takes on one of the most iconic times of our history and we get thoroughly entertained. Highly recommended.

Based on previous movies from Stephen King books, I was a little skeptical about how this would translate to the screen, but, I wasn't disappointed. Follows the book very closely and really does justice to a tough subject. Grab your popcorn and sit down. It's going to be a "bumpy night".

I loved the adaptation of Stephen King's book, 11.23.63! They did a really good job with this movie by providing a lot of detail in an interesting way. I watched the entire mini series over a two day period. I never got bored - the creators kept my interest from beginning to end.

Stephen King's time traveling story set against the backdrop of the assassination of JFK is suspenseful and thrilling. I enjoyed all of the acting in this film but James Franco in particular stands out in the lead role. One of the best TV adaptations of a Stephen King novel.

Overall true to the book. Drags in spots as do the novels and as such is typical Stephen King. "Constant Readers" will have fun finding the many Easter Egg references to other King stories. For example, an unsavory character drives Christine. On the down side the film ends quickly leaving many unanswered questions which are addressed more clearly in the book.

I watched this with my folks (who remember where they were when President Kennedy was assasinated). They loved it, and I did too! Itt’s an interesting perspective if time travel could influence major historical events. Franco was great in this roll.

This mini series was a great adaptation of one of King's finest works. A sci-fi adventure that developed into a romantic love story. The series left out elements of the novel for conciseness but retained the flavor. A terrific cast delivered faithful portrayals especially James Franco who is a competent artist when Rogen isn't around

The amount of detail this show went to just to make you truly believe it was the early Sixties was amazing. This is one of my favorite Stephen King novels and hands down my favorite adaption of his work. 11.22.63 is such an amazingly intensive watch!

Great series for any Kennedy assassination buff. The book was fantastic....rarely is the movie/tv show as good as the book...this is very close. I lived through the assassination and loved seeing all the cars, clothes and stuff from the 50s & 60s.

I like Stephen Kings visionary horror concepts. This one was not only original in it's ideal of 'what if' things could be different by changing one act. It also ask if we don't know what the ultimate outcome would be, would we? Great! Mini-series.

I had never heard of this until the Blu-ray came out. I decided to check it out because I'm a big history buff and I'm really interested the Kennedy assassination. This was fantastic. One part Back To The Future and one part JFK.

This is probably the best adaptation of a Stephen King book. Very addicting and hard to not just watch all the way through. I've only just started reading the book but my brother has read it and said it's pretty faithful to it.

It's difficult to adapt a Stephen King book, and historically the TV show adaptations in particular were never done too well, but this was translated almost seamlessly, with tweaks actually being beneficial to the storyline.

James Franco plays the lead in an epic adaptation of Stephen King's time travel tale. What will happen if Jake Epping (Franco) succeeds in preventing JFKs assasination? Anything can happen in a King story of twists and turns!

I loved the book but seeing it come to life was even better. I loved James Franco in the lead. It really made me think... what if.... and my heart ached for his love.I sure would like to see more books/movies like this.
