Super sturdy build quality. Beautiful screen. Super fast. Bought it to replace an older laptop my mom had. She seems to be enjoying it very well. Light weight as well.

I’ve only had this computer for a few months now, but I have to say it’s one of the best laptops I’ve owned. It is super fast and rarely lags on me. Quick & Easy to log in to. It has a feature where you can leave all your tabs open, and the next time to come back on it’ll all still be there. Battery life have been great, rarely have to charge it.

So far this has been an excellent experience. Since this model will replace an aging Chromebook it was extremely important to have tech support and updates available a few years down the road. And with Best Buy’s great price on this unit it was a no brainer. It’s too early to comment on battery life but if it’s like the old model it should be fine. Speed doesn’t seem to be an issue either. So all in all, at this point, we are very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I only use the computer for writing the novel i have been working on but it can multitask webpages and play music while I write my other chromebook cant compete. The screen is amazing. Had an issue when i first got it but geek squad sent it out for the manufacturer warranty and i got back an awesome computer. I sat too long in the loading lobby to play games cause im too cheap to pay for a membership

These Chromebooks are probably one of the best on the market for functionality. The price is good and only hoping the v.2 of these runs the same or better. The screen is very responsive and it will run anything thrown at it. It has no problem word processing and even doing light gaming.

So far its been excellent for school, creating presentations, and writing essays. I got it to have the option to game with my children from time to time, but its uses in academic work have been above my expectations. I love the size of the screen and the keyboard, and it handles all the things I need it to process.

It is not the most exciting machine as far as looks go. But it is a powerhouse for the price. Easy to navigate for those who know Chromebook operating systems. This computer is fast and has lots to offer. Pair it with a mouse, the touch pad is not the greatest for many operations. But if you looking for a power to cost deal, this is a great option.

I can't say enough good things about this Chromebook. It's what a Chromebook should've always been. Now I will say, I don't game on it and that's not why I bought it. I use it for nursing school and it is more than adequate. Great display, back lit keyboard, fast and snappy. The battery is ok, but the rest of the Chromebook makes up for it.

I bought this for my son to replace his old Chromebook. IT runs much smoother and the screen has much better colors. Son love this new Chromebook and uses it everyday for homeworks.

So far so good. I wanted a new Chromebook and did my homework, making my list of must haves, can live withouts and the stuff in between that really didn't matter. In the the it came down to the Acer or the Asus gaming Chromebook that was essentially the same machine. I went with Acer because when it comes to Chromebooks they have never let me down. My previous one is still running but I just needed something with more speed and ability. It was a REALLY CLOSE CALL though. Best Buy had them both listed on sale at the same time and everything. This one is more up to date on the processor and has a faster core so I decided to go with that instead of the extra features I was on the fence about. I will say this to Acer-you almost lost my as a customer to another brand over One ... Simple... Feature... Touchscreen. In fact, the man reason I went ahead and bought this one was because I read in a few reviews that this did in fact have a touchscreen to it. If this is deal breaker for you-this machine does not have it. Personally, I never realized how much I even used the touchscreen on my previous Acer until I didn't have it anymore. A quick tap of the screen in between clicks or tasks and you can really multitask more efficiently. I feel almost lost without it, but I'll make due. It's just a serious consideration for next time. Other than the touch screen, this thing is impressive. It's fast, plenty of space and good amount of RAM. I haven't tried to run it off ethernet yet because it's just easier to leave on Wi-Fi and sync with my phone. But if it's zooming through my torture chamber of a data network it deserves a prize. I'm known to rabbit hole and multi task to the point of having 30+tabs open, various apps running and of course while streaming something in the background. Add that to the TP Link whole home mesh Wi-Fi 6a I've got set up and I'd say TP Link deserves a prize. Anyway, if you're looking for a solid machine that has the specs to get you where you need to go, this is the one for you. It also looks great, has an enormous screen with excellent graphics and pretty decent sound for a Chromebook too. I do most of my gaming on PS5 and don't really plan on using it for gaming much at the moment so I can't speak to that aspect, but as a content creator that uses various photo and film editing software programs as well as audio mixing and producing, this thing is perfect for my needs. I'm sure it'll do great on whatever game you want to give a go. I'll stick to console. It just happens that most of the best tech specs come with gaming specific hardware. It makes sense. But I want it too. So far, so good.

Screen is huge, sharp, vibrant, and anti glare. RGB keyboard is a nice touch. Keyboard feels good to use. Laptop feels sturdy. Good ports. Battery is about 5 to 6 hours could be better but will get you through a work day. This is probably the best a Chromebook can be without a touch screen and convertible opening.

First off, I am not a gamer. I am an ex-PC user who got tired of waiting forever for my older laptop to update. I used a Chromebook when I was teaching and liked how it opened ready to work almost instantly. I liked the screen size and the really great quality of the pictures. I have 2 issues with this new laptop. One is my wifi based printer is too old for this computer to use and two, one of the websites I use won't work on this laptop. The good news is my old laptop uses chrome so I can save anything I want to print on my Drive and print it from the old pc. Also the missing website can be accessed on the old machine. I am not a super computer savvy person so this laptop is much more than I need but the sale price was so near the other one I was looking at that it was just a no brainer to get this remarkable laptop. I keep it plugged in so don't know how long the battery life is yet.

It's a game-changer! Boots up faster than can grab my coffee, with a display that's nothing short of stunning. If your Wi-Fi can keep up, gaming on this thing is bliss. Plus, it's so light, packing it feels like I'm just bringing along a notebook. Absolutely my go-to for trips.

This computer is fantastic overall. It’s smooth to use, and I love how quickly it starts up, allowing me to access everything immediately. However, I’ve experienced some issues with the speakers. Whenever I use Zoom or other apps for calls, the speakers produce static and interference, which can be frustrating. Additionally, I noticed that the display on my unit is slightly tilted at the top, although it’s not very noticeable. While I didn’t purchase insurance, I’m considering using the manufacturer’s warranty to address these issues soon.

Beautiful screen with high resolution and very fast. My last Chromebook was slow and buggy, but they seem to have perfected the art of the Chromebook with the 516. Battery life is way improved. I do miss the 360-screen flip feature, but you can't have everything.

Pros: - Solid build - loud and clear front facing speaker sound - bright 1440p screen - 120hz motion is very fluid with minimal dips - one of the best performing trackpads I've ever used in a laptop. - very good consistent performance Cons: - only 8gigs of RAM that is non upgradable - my specific laptop has a clicking sound after using it for long periods. overrall an unbeatable chromebook for the price

Great chrome book for the price. It’s a higher end chrome book that also works great for gaming. I’ve owned an Acer Chromebook before and it lasted me several years. Time for an upgrade. Hopefully this one will last just as long. Haven’t owned it but one month and so far I’m pleased.
