This was my first Alexa home speaker and was disappointed at first, but have grown to love it. My kid gets a kick out of speaking with it and its very convenient for other notifications like alarms, ring notifications and just playing music. Only downside is that its not cordless

Love it. Speaker quality is good, way better than sound quality than the regular echo. Bass is not super deep just modest.

recently upgraded to the Amazon Echo (4th Gen), and it has significantly enhanced my smart home experience. Here’s an in-depth review of this versatile and feature-rich smart speaker: **1. Impressive Sound Quality: The Echo (4th Gen) truly shines in the audio department. Equipped with a 3.0-inch woofer and dual 0.8-inch tweeters, it delivers rich, full-bodied sound with deep bass and clear highs. Whether I'm playing music, listening to podcasts, or enjoying an audiobook, the sound quality is immersive and well-balanced. The improved audio performance is a notable upgrade from previous Echo models, making it an excellent choice for music lovers. **2. Integrated Smart Home Hub: One of the standout features of the Echo (4th Gen) is its built-in smart home hub. It supports Zigbee, which allows for seamless integration with a wide range of smart home devices, such as lights, locks, and sensors. The hub simplifies the setup and management of smart home devices, enabling you to control them with voice commands through Alexa or the Alexa app. This centralization of smart home controls adds convenience and streamlines your smart home ecosystem. **3. Alexa Voice Assistant: The Echo (4th Gen) is powered by Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant, which offers a wide range of functionalities. From setting reminders and timers to checking the weather and controlling smart home devices, Alexa provides hands-free assistance with impressive accuracy. The voice recognition is responsive and capable of understanding commands even in noisy environments, making it a reliable companion for daily tasks. **4. Sleek and Modern Design: The design of the Echo (4th Gen) is both modern and functional. Its spherical shape and fabric finish give it a stylish appearance that blends well with various home decors. The volume controls are conveniently located on the top, and the device is available in multiple color options to match your interior design. **5. Privacy and Security: Amazon has included multiple privacy features in the Echo (4th Gen) to ensure user control and security. The device has a physical microphone off button that disconnects the microphone, providing peace of mind when privacy is a concern. Additionally, the Echo’s voice recordings can be managed and deleted through the Alexa app, giving users control over their data. **6. Easy Setup and Use: Setting up the Echo (4th Gen) is straightforward and quick. The Alexa app guides you through the process, and once it’s connected to your Wi-Fi network, it’s ready to use. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to customize settings, connect smart home devices, and explore Alexa’s features. **7. Affordable and Versatile: Given its premium sound quality, smart home hub functionality, and extensive Alexa capabilities, the Echo (4th Gen) offers excellent value for its price. It serves as a versatile and multifunctional device that enhances both entertainment and smart home management. Overall Impression: The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) is a highly capable smart speaker that excels in delivering premium sound quality while functioning as a robust smart home hub. The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) with premium sound, a smart home hub, and Alexa is a versatile device that combines multiple features in one. The sound quality has been improved compared to previous generations, offering a richer bass and clearer vocals, which makes it great for music and voice commands. The smart home hub functionality allows you to control various smart devices, like lights and thermostats, directly through Alexa without needing a separate hub. Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant, responds quickly and accurately to voice commands, whether you’re asking for weather updates, playing music, or controlling your smart home devices. The Echo also supports multi-room audio, so you can link multiple Echo devices for a more connected experience throughout your home. Design-wise, the Echo (4th Gen) has a spherical shape with a fabric covering, which gives it a modern look that fits in with most home decors. It’s easy to set up and use, and the sound performance is impressive for its size. Overall, the Amazon Echo (4th Gen) is a solid choice for anyone looking for a smart speaker with great sound and seamless integration with smart home devices. It’s especially good for those who are already using Alexa or have a home with other smart gadgets.

I’ve owned every Echo since the first gen, and the 4th Gen with premium sound is on another level. The audio is shockingly good for its size – deep bass, clear mids, and it easily fills my 25 m² living room with music (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music HD all sound fantastic). Compared to my old Echo Dot, this thing is night and day. Alexa is faster and smarter than ever: turns on lights, controls my TV, checks the weather, sets timers while I cook… everything just works. The built-in Zigbee hub means I didn’t need an extra dongle for my Philips Hue and IKEA bulbs. Privacy mic-off button + the fact it processes most commands locally now gives me peace of mind. I use it daily for music, alarms, routines, and even as a cheap intercom between rooms. At this price it’s an absolute steal. If you’re still on 2nd/3rd gen or a Dot, upgrade – you won’t believe the difference in sound quality. 100% recommended. Already bought a second one for the bedroom. Thanks Amazon!

I was surprised how something so small could sound that good. The bass is surprisingly deep and you can feel the beat. I have a first gen echo in my living room and a dot in my bedroom. The sound from the dot ìs too tinny for my taste so when a 4th gen echo went on sale i decided to buy it. Glad I did because not only is the sound way better but the device seems faster and smarter. The setup was fast, easy and flawless. If you can buy one do it, you won't be sorry.
