i love the way it is set up. gives you so many options like youtube, netflix and hulu. And you can use your smart phone as the remote. i liked it so much i bought another as a christmas present.

Excellent little entertainment unit. It's just a small rectangle with an HDMI output and a micro-USB power input, but what it can do is so very much more for not much money. Although best with Amazon Prime so you can use Prime Video, Music, and Photo Cloud features, this unit can do more even if you don't use Amazon that way. Download the Netflix app, Youtube app, even some Android games through the Amazon Appstore (a free app every day) and more; you can also miracast your Android 4.2 or higher device through it (turn on your device's rotation to go widescreen), and there's still more to play with after that. It even comes with a sweet little bluetooth remote control and batteries, and an HDMI extension cable if your ports are too tight for the unit. The Fire TV Stick is powered by USB, it's supposed to be powered by the included wall outlet and will nag you if you use your TV's standard 460 milliamp USB port, but mine has worked fine so far because I don't have a power outlet close enough - I'm sure down the road there will be updates that require more processing power, but I'm getting HD videos on all my apps and miracasting fine. Setup is a breeze, once you input your wifi password and your Amazon account details, it auto-updates and then introduces its features via a little video. Using the included remote is perfect, but you can also download the Fire TV app and use that as a remote including using voice search. Since the unit is very low power-consumption, it only turns off when the TV is off, and otherwise is on but sleeping, and is ready to go when you select its HDMI port on your TV. The unit is snappy and brings up apps quickly, so far it's been quite a pleasure. I like this low-cost entertainment stick so much I bought my folks one and my girlfriend one for xmas.

It was easy to connect and hassle free. I like the compact size. Makes it easy to hide behind television . Remote is easy to manipulate., compact design makes it easy to store out of the way.

We had one Smart TV in the house. Now after purchasing two Amazon Sticks, we have three Smart TVs! Best decision. Love it. Easy to set up. We've had DirecTV for over 18 years without switching services. We didn't renew this time. Instead we bought a amplified digital TV antenna, a amplified splitter and two Amazon Sticks. Kids don't even notice the difference. Hulu provides us with all our tv shows next day if we don't get a chance to watch that night. And Netflix provides us with movies. Both apps are available using the Amazon Stick.

I have both the Firetv box and Firetv stick aka Firestick. Simple to use. I have Amazon prime so I get my Amazon purchases shipped to me for free and as an added bonus, I can watch a ton of movies and tv shows, play games, etc, using the Firestick for free basically. My daughter is 4 and knows how to use this. (Just have to remember to enable the parental code in the setup so your kids don't rent/buy movies by accident. Happened to me once) Even then, Amazon customer service understood and refunded me. I've used other streaming devices and this is hands down the best for the price. I give these as gifts all the time. Everyone loves it and you will too.

The Fire TV stick itself works very well. Menu movements are smooth, video playback is good, setup was a breeze, and the remote is very simple. The provided HDMI extension cable was very welcome. The app compatibility is great, and apps seem to run very well on it. So for the unit itself, I give it a 5/5. The trouble I have is - Where does this unit fit in the grand scheme of things? Almost all of its functionality can be found on video game consoles, Blu-Ray players, Smart TVs, PCs, and other streaming devices (including their own Fire TV!). Chances are that you have one of these devices already. If not, well then this is a great device for you What it feels like is that it comes down to being able to take your streaming device anywhere you want in a more convenient package. I don't really foresee myself ever using this in that fashion, so this ended up being a somewhat useless spur of the moment purchase.

Bought one for my bedroom. Very quick and effective. The app works great with it too and enjoy the voice control feature. It is VERY Amazon-centric. Def would wantbtobbe a prime member. But for the price it's killer and love that you have an actual remote too!

I've never used any other streaming stick so I can't do a comparison. I will say that the Fire stick is easy to use and the picture quality is great. We mostly use it for Amazon prime video and Netflix. Remote works well. Overall pleased with purchase.

I picked up the Amazon fire stick from Best Buy at a great price. I thought all I was going to be able to do with this was to mirror on my phone onto my TV but I was so wrong. And you get a free trial of Amazon prime too. I also love that it's small enough to fit in your pocket so you can bring it anywhere. So much better than the google chrome stuck in my opinion

The unit is easy to learn quick to respond and filled with features. Keeps a stable connection and has a simple to use remote. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

This product delivers with a great price. It is small so it takes little to no space and it has so many apps to choose from. Definitely a bargain worth your while.

Amazon Fire TV stick is an amazing streaming device for Netflix, Youtube, Hulu ... and those services that you need to be subscribed. If you are amazon prime member then you have the benefits of video streaming and some movies availability. The fire stick have the capability to be pair with your phone and used it as your remote and keyboard, thats is awesome! But the best part is the capability to sideload applications, that means that most of the apps in your phone you can installed in the fire tv. Take a look to Kodi app! Only for $40 is a good deal ... sometimes you can find specials at $25.

I am going to purchase a couple more of these and get rid of our DirecTv bill that is currently over $200/mo. We can watch pretty much everything with this and Amazon Prime that we would ever want to watch. This is so easy to set up a caveman could do it. I was worried about the little flash drive being able to carry a reasonable framerate over the wireless network, but what can I say - this technology is amazing. I love our firestick so much more than our actual streaming boxes. (Samsung). It responds twice as fast and the remote is so simple even the kids can use it.

I just installed the Amazon fireTV stick, and it was one of the easiest installations I've ever done. Congratulations Amazon. The steps are easy: 1. Connect USB cable into fireTV stick, and plug in power adapter. 2. Connect fireTV stick to HDMI port via HDMI extender. 3. Put batteries in the remote. 4. Turn on TV and select HDMI port. fireTV stick is already looking for the remote. After installing the Amazon fireTV stick checks for and downloads any needed updates. Another screen then comes up asking if you want to continue with your pre-loaded Amazon account, or change. That's a very nice feature. Then an Amazon fireTV stick Welcome video plays and you see an animated tour of the features of the Amazon fireTV stick. Very impressive. It's great to see Prime Movies that are FREE to watch. And you also get to listen to free prime music. If you are a prime member. If not they give you 30 day free trial for Signing up.

Totally love this thing! I was streaming Netflix through my PS3 but this is much faster and I like that It came with a remove. Super simple set up.

I exchange the Roku stick for this device and I'm glad I did. This device allows me the ability to stream from my phone but also comes with a remote that works (unlike the Roku remote). The download is also a lot faster. Unlike my Chromestick I can also watch my Amazon Prime subscription. The only negative is that I have to plug it into the wall power outlet instead of the USB port on the TV because it gives a message about the power supply being inadequate, others say the ignored the message but I noticed better speeds when I connected to the wall power.

Bough a couple of them for my house, I'm enjoying them, easy to use, and setup. They run smoothly without freezing at all! Highly recommended!

The Fire Stick works like advertised. It is faster acquiring Netflix on our "dumb" TV than is our "smart" TV. East to install and easy to use. The only problem is that the 110-V adapter doesn't work consistently, so we just used the USB adapter. So the Fire Stick plugs into an HDMI port on the TV and the power for it plugs into the USB port next to the HDMI port. We liked the Fire Stick so much we gave one as a gift to our daughter.

I love this thing. I can take it anywhere with me and have the convenience of my streaming content readily available. The apps are sweet too.
