I generally use AppleTV as a streaming box, but was looking for an inexpensive alternative for lesser-used TVs, and to recommend to friends who aren't in the Apple/iTunes ecosystem. This thing is pretty-much perfect. It doesn't have the voice search capability of its big brother, but comes with a remote and is a very capable and reliable streamer. I gave a couple out as gifts and the recipients love them as-well. I replaced my Chromecasts (which I HATE) with these and haven't looked back.

Easy to use and set-up. Worked when I plugged it in and had easy to follow instructions. The remote is handy and easy to use in the dark. It doesn't have a ton of buttons, so it's east to memorize the location of everything quickly. My only possible improvement for this device is a dedicated web site that list all the current apps you can download that will work with it. I had to go searching for several and I know that some I downloaded won't work with it and some I still missing.

Ok to be fair I am an Amazon girl. Love Amazon, but I bought 3 fire sticks from Best Buy. I was able to get it from Best Buy before it was back in stock on Amazon. The fire stick is great. Instead of running everything though my computer I just switch to the fire stick. If you have prime you can watch a ton of shows and movies free, or watch any digital content that you get through Amazon. There are tons of apps that you can get. Like Netflix and YouTube. I recommend it.

This is THE BEST investment I have ever made! I use the Fire Stick to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime. It was easy to set up: open the box, plug into the HDMI port on the TV, and plug into the power outlet. As of yesterday, I switched to 5G/200Mgbz internet. The Fire Stick instantly recognized a change in the network and is perfectly compatible with both the slower and faster internet speeds. There are TONS of apps to choose from (music, backgrounds, movies, etc). Buy this!!!

I picked this up during BF sale and I couldn't be happier. This has the major advantage over my Chromecast in that it is simpler to use a wireless remote with physical buttons. Plus, my kids (9 & 7) don't have to mess around with a tablet to start, pause, and resume a video or song. Entering words using the directional keys with the onscreen keyboard does get tedious during the initial setup with all my streaming accounts. I didn't realize there was another version that comes with a microphone in the remote for voice control. I installed Firestarter launcher and Kodi to extend access to my media library. Plex works well on it also.

This product is much better than the competition. Small, portable and cheaply priced makes it hard to beat!

The Fire TV Stick is perfect for streaming anything you'd like. Amazon is very pushy with the advertisements. But, if you can look past that, this is great for streaming Netflix or Hulu. The only advantage that I see in the Fire TV Stick over Google's Chromecast is that it comes with it's own remote, where the Chromecast does not. You can, however, still use a smart device to control the Fire TV Stick. This is especially useful when having to enter text on screen.

we returned the google chromecast and bought the amazon stick instead. the amazon stick comes with a remote which is the top reason we prefer it. It is much more user friendly and easy for a child to operate without assistance. We use it on my 8yr old childs TV and he operates it all on his own without assistance. Very easy to access Hulu and Netflix which is all we use it for. It does have some free kids games that are available for download as well.

amazon fire stick is a great little product. Takes up no space and plugs directly into the back of the tv via the hdmi port. easy to use with the main streaming services (Netflix, hulu and amazon). also its easy to travel with as you can sign into various multi step internet sign in - great for hotel rooms and dorm rooms.. if you have time warner cable, you may want to look at the roku stick as it was a twc app, where the amazon fire stick does not

Has several of the same options for streaming as Chromecast does, and more. You can use Netflix, Amazon Video, Plex, and more. Setup is fairly simple, though typing in long account names/passwords can be a bit annoying with the simple remote. It's performance is mostly smooth, and definitely smoother than my Chromecast was. Comes with a short HDMI extension to make it easier to connect to your TV if your TV is wall-mounted. It does require external power, with the included micro-USB cable & plug.

I cut the cord from cable a while ago and had been using a digital antenna and a roku box. I purchased the Amazon Stick on because it was cheaper than a new roku box and better than the roku stick (based on reviews I read). I don't have a roku stick to compare it to but I can say its much faster than my roku box and I love the fact that it's portable. It doesn't have as many channels as roku but I only watch 4 or 5 anyway, all of which are on the stick.

In the past I've tried the Roku boxes or the stick and none of those have compared to how fast and easy it is to use the Fire stick. Everything loads fast no interruptions while in the middle of viewing tv or movies.

This little unit has me seriously thinking of cancelling my expensive dish subscription. (if it weren't for my sports channels) You can find just about anything to watch, whenever you want with the Fire Stick. It also comes in handy when we go RVing and the weather is not cooperating.

The Fire stick is much easier to use. Connectivity, streaming, pictures, the remote all are great.

Works great and easy to set up. I use it for Netflix. Looks better then the version on my Wi-Fi TV.

Compared to chromecast, this has a remote controller which is why I bought it and makes it easier to watch shows. It has a nice user interface similar to the bigger Fire TV. Streaming is smooth and rarely lags.

We purchased this product for my mother and step-father who didn't want to go out and buy a brand new TV just for Netflix. It is super simple to use, the remote is comfortable to hold, and it just plugs right in to the TV's HDMI port (the power plug goes to the USB port). After you plug it in, you just log into your Amazon account and go. My parents love it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else. 10/10

I own the Apple TV and have a PS4 that I used for my media uses. I love the Amazon stick because its faster and everthing is in one place. It also works out well because I don't have to have my Playstation on and worry about overheating. Set up is very easy and controls are simple and convenient. I would highly recommend especially for the price. HBO go, netflix, Amazon prime and games, can't go wrong!

It does what it is supposed to do, which is stream media. Simple set up. You can plug the stick directly to your TV's HDMI port or with the included extender. Connect to wifi, log in to an Amazon account and your streaming.
