It is small and simple. We paid $25. One of the cheapest streaming devices. Works great if you are an Amazon Prime member. The voice option is nice.

After reading numerous reviews ECT bought this fire stick I knew the 4 k version would have issues first coming out I'll upgrade down the road .. Pros . Fast . Easy . Price was spot on $25 couldn't pass it up Cons. None Soo far will update as I come upon any

Amazon seems to have a winner here this device is small powerful and fast while keeping the cost down. If you're looking to turn your dumb TV into a smart TV this is probably your best choice as Amazon's Streaming Stick covers most of the online services. The picture quality and the interface are both well thought-out and easy to navigate. If you have a Prime membership there are a lot of free things to view however as we all know Amazon is here to sell sell sell so many of the things you may want to watch require an additional subscription or have to be purchased or rented. In that vein I like the Chromecast better since it's easier to stream your own stuff or web stuff using that device versus the fire stick. Also if you have a 4K TV and want to watch that type of content you will need to move up to the more expensive and larger Fire TV device. Watch for the sales I got this one during the Black Friday week for $24 can't beat the price for what you get.

The Amazon Fire Stick is an amazing device. Television services are moving away from cable and satellite and are moving toward internet based streaming formats. These internet based services work from apps (software packets) and the AFS (Amazon Fire Stick) provides you with these apps. In fact, it provides you with every kind of app you can think of and the AFS does it at an affordable price. The AFS plugs into the HDMI jack on your television and also comes with a power adapter that plugs into the wall. The AFS is controlled by a remote control that comes with the device. In order to receive signals, the AFS requires WIFI or a local hot spot with speed requirements of around 5 Mbps for HD broadcasts. Movies and shows displayed by the device are typically in HD quality with good picture and sound quality. It is easy to set up and use and I was up and running in minutes.

So compact and exactly what I needed in the bedrooms. Having Alexa is the cake on top. All the apps necessary for streaming are included and this solves the need for cable television. Everything for watching and apps are consolidated on this little stick.

We have these on every TV in the house. The voice command feature is super convenient and my granddaughter loves how easy it is for her to "call up" Netflix. The price is affordable and the combo offered with an Echo Dot is a great purchase.

The product is fast and fluent. It also has numerous useful apps that will provide the user with hours of great viewing experience. The setup was easy and fast, as simple as connecting to your Wi-Fi, registering your device and you are ready to stream all types of content. The delivery of the product was fast and Bestbuy offered me GeekSquad installation help in case I needed it. I highly recommend this product and you can't go wrong for the price, I purchased a total of 5 units to give some to friends and family, and I will be buying a few more for all my televisions.

The Apps is what really makes this amazing! this is a great buy for anyone hoping to watch movies and just sometimes even surf the web. this multimedia device can do so many things. and the alexa voice command makes it feel even more fancy!

This was an easy set up - it just took minutes to install - and it immediately gave me access to my Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions on my television. One great benefit is the ability to search and start applications using Alexa - and with the ability to use Alexa with my mobile telephone and my echo dot. This is a very inexpensive electronic add-on, and it gave me much more user utility than the built in software and hardware on my smart tv. There are lots of other applications available, like YouTube etc..... this was the best $35 I have spent in months.... I hope that Amazon will eventually interface better with the televisions - offering the ability to control volume etc without having to use another remote device.... but even without that, excellent item.

Another great Black Friday deal. The fire stick is probably the best streaming device out there with the low price. It's powerful and you've got the ability to sideload apps and other android capabilities.

I didn't really know what to expect so when I got the Firestick it was really easy to use,Alexa is great and very dependable. It was easy to hook up and get started watch movies. And I even bought a TV sound bar to improve my watching experience, it is a really good partner with my old TVs,also recommend. The Alexa Voice Remote ==== Despite the new name, the Alexa Voice Remote is identical to the previous Fire TV Stick voice remote. It’s small, but fairly hefty, and is comfortable to hold. It has the usual 4-way navigation pad and media controls, but no volume buttons - you’ll need to keep your TV remote handy for that. It connects via WiFi, not infra-red, so you can safely tuck the Fire TV stick behind your wall-mounted TV and it will still work fine. The remote’s major selling-point is the built-in mic, Unlike with the Amazon Echo. Fees ==== You need a subscription to Amazon Video ($8.99/month) or Amazon Prime ($99/year) to stream movies and TV shows. Note that whilst there is lots of free-with-subscription content, some items still require a rental fee, especially recent movies (rentals are $3.99 in HD). Some new-release movies are purchase-only.

Great item. Plug and play makes it as easy as it gets. You do, however, need to plug the Firestick into a power supply. The USB port in my TV did not provide sufficient energy to power the Firestick properly. Unfortunately this causes somewhat of an inconvenience, considering I have used all available outlets for other electronics already.. The app interface functions fairly quickly, requiring a +/- 20 second load time upon booting up. Selecting an app and launching your way into the show you want can be somewhat tiresome. You need to start from the home screen and launch the app containing the show or movie you wish to watch. Then navigate your way to the show. Using the voice command merely brings up a messy index of items related to whatever you 'ask Alexa' for. The results are sloppily compiled and not easy to navigate. I find it to be more effective, yet time consuming, to navigate through the appropriate app and select the show manually. This ultimately makes the voice command useless. For these reasons i deducted 1 star. Otherwise the device does exactly what it states and seems to function quite well. No freezing or crashes as of yet. 1 months use

Love it. It was easy to set up and not too noticeable behind my tv. What I really love is that I no longer pay a larger bill to any cable service. Cut my bill soo low I couldn't be any happier.

I needed this in order to watch movies. With Alexa, I can check the weather instantly before leaving home. I got this on the Black Friday sale, I wish I'd ordered two. Great for the price

This was easy to install, not one problem. Voice control works much better than expected. When I activate the Fire-stick, it automatically changes to the input on my Samsung (not smart) TV , which is handy (does not switch back to TV mode, which would be amazing but unexpected). Came, as a special offer, with a free remote protective cover, which fits very well, but also very snug and seems tough to get off for changing batteries. So far no issues, very happy with this. However I only have had it for a couple of weeks, and was fortunate enough to catch the Black Friday sale, so I purchased an extra one for another TV. Happy with both.

Went cold turkey from Directv finally. Started with trial offer from Sling. Found it to limiting. Tried Amazon Firestick. Bought one for my son to take to prep school and two for my home. Currently, still learning all of the different options, but for the most part, I really like the ease and transferability of the Firestick. For the overall savings, no real issues in setting it up, plugging it in...I have my Sunday Ticket and NBC Sports available, and other than DVR Judge Judy and figuring that feature out, I love it. I have 3 Firesticks and would definitely recommend this an alternative to cable or the expensive cost of Directv.

The firestick is a wonderful addition if you have a television in the guest room. Instead of purchasing another cable box for the guest room and having a higher monthly bill, I purchased the firestick so our guests can still watch shows or movies if they would like to; but, we don't have to pay to keep cable running to a room that someone may be staying in only 4 times out of the year. So far the firestick has been working without any issues and it was unbelievably easy to set up! I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to watch tv shows or movies without having to add a monthly subscription.

loads up fast, easy to setup, tons of available apps, however ESPN.com app does not currently work with Charter Spectrum account holders!?!? Otherwise no complaints

This is the best invention ever able to get all the channels I like sports horror comedy very clear not grainy easy to navigate very reasonably priced sleek not bulky or hard to figure out when first setting it up to your tv I would even recommend to everyone even my grandma can navigate this device. Children friendly can also set channel blocking for mature adults only

Does everything you need, has lots of apps, if you already pay for Amazon prime it is a no brainer to buy one, especially if you don't have a smart tv
