Pros: Small (can take on vacation); good integration with free Amazon Prime content; Overall, best value. Cons: Requires solid WiFi connection; Horrible user interface. The FireTV stick provides Amazon Prime users with the cheapest way to access free Prime video content. As a plus, its size enables you to take it on vacation and plug it in to HDMI port on TV, and you automatically get your favorite videos with no re-programming (must have high speed WiFi). The worst thing about this device reveals itself in the user interface, where pointless promos take over half the screen; also, the "my list" is not sorted in any sane way and "recently viewed" items come and go willy-nilly. Fortunately, the search function helps to find the programs you're looking for, if you can recall the title. Overall, the device wins out over other alternatives due to low price ($40 retail, less on sale)

I bought this in addition to the Roku stick. Boy, am I lucky I did!! It's way better. It features the famous Alexa which is a great feature once you get the hang of it. The setup was quick and simple to do. Just follow the prompts or ask Alexa. I enjoy the benefits of having all my apps on my TV now. It's awesome, now we have three Firesticks in our home.

This is my fourth Fire Stick. We have all the main TV's set up with the Stick. I plan to buy another to take with me when I travel.

I plugged in the device and thought how really simple it was to get it connected, just as it was advertised! I wanted to have Internet access from a TV that does not have wireless connectivity and I can't run a hard wired Ethernet cable to the TV. This worked great. and a lot cheaper than a wireless router and then figure out how to tie in all the applications that come in the device. Tried it with Amazon Prime just great, haven't tried any of the other sources it supports, but will be after the holidays!

I purchased this device when it was on sale about a month ago and absolutely love it. I like being able to see all of the apps displayed on the home screen, and frequent apps are displayed first. You can arrange the apps based on your preference. Of course, the device syncs well with Amazon. The features are great, and using the voice (Alexa) feature is new to me, but I am enjoying it. The device is very easy to use. I have a Roku Stick and have to say, I haven’t used it since purchasing the Amazon Fire Stick.

First of all, did Amazon up the hardware on these newer models? The newest one I bought is very fast and smooth. Anyways, the Fire Stick is a great way to make all televisions smart(er). You can chose from multiple streaming services and even sideload android applications (the latter being more technical - but well worth utilizing). I strongly recommend this device for entry-level and general users. Consider getting the more expensive model if you want to load more demanding apps and store more data.

Great product. I had an older Fire Stick and it was slow etc. The new product is fast, great picture and really easy to use.

Amazon Fire Stick runs independently via your Tvs USB port. It had a surprisingly fast processor speed for just a usb stick standing alone. This is not 4K keep in mind upgrade to the new version which is not a stick alone for UHD and 4K use. But, for under 30 dollars if you have a more basic user in mind and also this can be altered using Kodi to get free programming where the Apple 4K-any Apple streamer cant get Kodi which is worth the price here alone and its free. Solid device the remote has Alexa talk functions which is pretty cool. You wont be upset for 30 dollars i mean the Alexa remote to me is worth that almost. just keep the upfated Fire Tv around 50-60 dollars is a huge step up if you eant 4k and some better buffering but you lose the appeal of just plug and go...Get both and decide.

I've been using Chromecast since its introduction and like it very much. I recently purchased Amazon Firestick with Alexa, and find I prefer it to Chromecast. It connects to my wifi ,and sets up easier, It's remote control is easy to use, It provides better video and audio quality. I already have an Amazon Prime subscription, I frequently use it for Youtube, Prime movies,Pandora and that just scratches the surface of it's capabilities. ILike it enough to buy another one for the bedroom TV

I really love this streaming stick compared to the others, it has so much content to offer!, It is really easy to setup and if you have Prime, it adds so much extra conent as well. It is very portable as well, you can take this with you almost anywhere and use it. i usually hook it up to my hotspot on my phone if im out of town or working. For a main streaming system this one works really well, if your going to buy a streaming stick this is the one to get, amazon has done an amazing job!

Best media streaming device on the market for the price. Easy connection and large amount of aps and games to choose from.

I own 2 of these Amazon Fire Sticks and think they are awesome! My family watches several of the Amazon exclusive shows and the ability to download apps to view additional TV/Movies is incredible. Because of the Fire Stick's capabilities, we were able to reduce our cable TV package and save close to $50 per month off our bill. Highly recommend picking one or 2 of these up. You will not be disappointed. If you want to get the most out of this item, it pays to be an Amazon Prime member.

This is a plug and play device if there ever was one. Firestick TV with Alexa truly allows you to stream and watch everything you want without cable TV service. You can consolidate all your streaming services to this one device. It connects via HDMI and has an included power cord to plug into a standard wall outlet. All you need is a TV with HDMI port and an internet service. I have not seen a device offer this many apps (other than a smart phone) ever. Forget smart TV with limited apps. Long gone are the days of buying a Smart TV to only discover all the apps you enjoy using aren’t supported. Firestick allows you to download apps for everything you need and more. This has saved me time and money recently when I was searching for the newest TV I purchased. Firestick is a workhorse for the price you pay. I used to spend countless hours researching TVs to find one that supports all the apps I use routinely. But, not anymore!! THANK YOU AMAZON for Firestick W/Alexa! Also, I haven’t had any of the strange Alexa “behavior” with firestick that people experience with Amazon speakers with Alexa.

Real easy to use! Have one in every room. Can watch netflix, use amazon prime, and listen to music with just one click!

The fire stick is the best streaming device on the market. The price, ease of use and studder free streaming make this far and above my favorite. I own 5 of these. One for each room. I used to own the Chromecast, but that requires a phone or other device to be used with it. My kids can take their fire stick back and forth to friends and relatives. There are more than a few "movie" apps to be found that can be side loaded onto the fire stick to enhance the functionality.

Really like how easy the setup of the firestick was and the speed of navigating around the menus/apps. Took only about 10 minutes to power on and start watching movies. I have a prime account and can take advantage of the TV programs and movies available on Amazon. Only drawback so far is that I cannot load the Spectrum TV App that I did with the Roku. The advantage over the Roku is that I can install Downloader App and install other Apps that I cannot with Roku.

I was in the market for a new firestick because my old one burnt out. I went online and saw that Best Buy had a firestick combo with an HD antenna so I purchased it. I cut the cord over a year ago so I was looking forward to watching local channels again. I am very pleased with my purchase. The Firestick is fast and it doesn't lag. It was very easy to set up. The HD antenna was easy as well. I paid a great price for them and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is hands down the best product I’ve purchased this year! I absolutely love my fire stick. I had an android box and decided to give this a try and omg I wish I had one sooner! I ordered one for each of my TVs I can stream videos from my phone straight to my tv, play games and this is my go to for movie nights at my house. I would highly recommend you purchase one for each tv this is a must have! I’m even considering cutting my cable tv.

It is fast and easy to use. Picture quality is good. Good replacement for my previous streaming player.
