I know why most of you are here. So before I get started, YES. The All-New Amazon Fire TV Stick DOES work with KODI. I repeat, you will STILL be able to sideload Kodi onto this device! Now that we have that incredibly important piece of information out of the way, I will start off by saying the All-New Amazon Fire TV Stick picks off where its ever so popular predecessor left off, offering you one of the most inexpensive ways to stream HOURS of content to your TV. The package itself includes: - The Fire TV Stick - The Remote control WITH Alexa voice control - A Power adapter - 2 AAA batteries (by Amazon basics) - an HDMI extender if the Fire TV Stick does not fit into your TV’s HDMI port. The device itself couldn’t be easier to use. Simply plug it into your TV, and you’re good to go! With this device, you’ll be able to use apps such as Netflix, Pandora, HBO, and even Amazon prime (provided you’re a prime member). You will of course need accounts for all of the previously mentioned apps, but if you do not, you can also use YouTube through this device, which has hours of content on it by itself! If you’re an Amazo Prime member, you will already have access to thousands of TV shows and Movies… just in case you didn’t know! The All New Amazon Fire TV Stick features some changes that are worth mentioning, but if you’re not too tech-savy, just know that this stick performs faster than the older model. This is due to a stronger processor, a 1.3ghz quad core processor vs a 1ghz dual core processor from older models. I WAS a bit disappointed to see that the All-New Fire TV Stick did not upgrade to 2gb of Ram. While 1gb is plenty for streaming in most cases, users may find occasional lag on the home screen, especially when first booting the device up. I’ve found that if I turn on my firestick, and go do something else for a few minutes, or just allow the device some time to boot up, I do not run into this issue. While there has not been an update in ram, I have noticed that navigating the fire stick is MUCH quicker than previous models, which will make anybody happy. Perhaps the biggest change from the previous Fire TV Stick is the remote control. While all of the buttons are the same, you now have a “Voice Control” button on top of the remote control. By pressing this button, you are allowed access to wide range of commands that take all of the grunt work out of browsing your streaming device. For instance, you can ask Alexa to “Find horror movies”, “play music from pandora”, “fast forward 5 minutes”, etc. This feature is ESPECIALLY useful given the difficulties surrounding the use of streaming devices with a remote control that doesn’t have a keyboard or mouse. It is also worth mentioning that the buttons are now made of a soft rubber material, and are easier to use. To conclude, If you’re looking for a portable, depdnable, and easy to use streaming device, this is it. At just under $40.00, It’s hard to say no to perhaps the least expensive streaming device on the market. While I do wish that this model featured 2gb of ram for quicker browsing, 1gb is plenty for what most people will be using this device for; streaming. All in all, I would very much recommend this device!

This has been working great for the few weeks that I've had it. Seems a lot easier to navigate and a lot smoother than my Roku, even though the Roku is older, so I don't have a new one to compare it to.

I purchased this for $25 and am using it on the bedroom TV. We dumped cable and are streaming. This is an excellent value and works as promised. I purchased it just prior to the announcement that due to a disagreement between Amazon and Google, we will no longer be able to watch YouTube beginning in 2018. Not a major problem, but an inconvenience. The only other observation is that the user interface and on screen presentation is a little cumbersome, especially after using the Roku stick, which we received for free with our Direct TV Now subscription. The interface on the Fire Stick is pretty clunky compared to the Roku. All in all a great value and does what it is supposed to very well.

I appreciate being able to watch movies and series without commercials (in most cases). Like the music apps for music only. Pause and resume controls are handy. The use of Alexa is nice for a specific search. Fire Stick tracks your viewing in the sense of recommending other items for the future. Many things are free to watch through Prime, but others do require payment (HBO as an example). Scenic screens while paused are very nice.

Great price,didn't want to spend a lot of money in case we didn't like it,but we love it,so easy to use,kids can use it easily,grandpa can even use it without trying to fiddle with to many buttons,he loves to just speak what he wants to see.its such a great products and did I mention the great price,

I was looking to buy a smart TV stick or box, even though I have a smart TV and game consoles, but they have limited app capabilities. I was about to buy a Roku express for $30 but with the sale going on the Amazon Fire TV for $20, I instantly grabbed a stick and set it up. The setup was effortless, being extremely user friendly and I love the low profile the stick has. The packaging is sleek and compact, and comes with the stick, the awesome remote with Alexa support, an HDMI dongle for TVs that are installed in walls or to get better WiFi reception, a power brick and micro USB cable to power the device and a setup guide. The amount of apps is plentiful, the amount you can do with the device is outstanding (gaming, ordering food or items from Amazon) and is very quick and responsive. Only drawback are that it's only 1080p so it looks ok on a 4k tv but not as sharp and only 8GB of storage. Overall, a great device that works wonders!

This is worth it...I know you can buy it directly from amazon.com but I decided to buy it from best buy because I could go and get it right away instead of waiting for the mail. The fire stick is great because it puts the convenience of movie streaming all in one place. Plus with Alexa all you have to do is command it and it does exactly what u tell it to do. I highly recommend the firestick there is so much to watch in one place...

EASY TO USE, GREAT VALUE AND GOOD QUALITY. JUST AS GOOD AS SOME OF THE MORE EXPENSIVE BOXES AROUND.

We went from using two apple tvs and when one just quit working I tried one of these and ended up replacing the still working Apple TV - & then bought 2 more :) they work great, have lots of extra features, we do amazon prime so it's a win there, & their price is crazy good compared to what we were using... also having games you can play is a bonus while your amazon account is synced already- we really are happy with the switch

I kept hearing more and more people talking about the Amazing Fire Stick and decided to research buying one. I was on the fence of whether or not to give the fire stick a try, that is until I saw the price. Best Buy was running a special on the product...so inexpensive for me not to buy. So far, it has exceeded my expectations and is much easier to use than why I was imagining. I recommend this to anybody, tech savvy or not
