My wife and I are learning how to use this gift we received for Christmas. I like going to ESPN 3 for our local college basketball games, using Netflix for movies and original series viewing. We are both enjoying this. It was well worth the money. It was easily installed on our tv and set up was simple.

I decided to cut off my Dish because I haven't been using it enough in the past year, but I still wanted to be able to keep up with my shows. Fire TV stick does exactly what I needed, minus the monthly fee. Hooking it up to my T.V couldn't have been easier, and setting it up to my Wi-Fi was just as easy.

The Fire TV stick was easy to setup. Also easy to install with everything included. Yes, it needs to be plugged in to a power source and it comes with the power cord. The picture quality with Netflix was improved over what we got using our Bluray player for streaming. The interface is easy to navigate.

We got the firestick for our living room TV and now have to purchase one for all. Dissconnect that cable folks and save lots of money! Netflix, Amazon Prime all the channels you could possibly need. We went from a 253 cable bill to a 83.00 just internet bill. Huuuuge savings! Merry Christmas everyone!

Pros: Price is no doubt one of the best reasons to buy this specific model of Amazon fire Tv. Amazing packaging and all the the you might need in the box included with what you pay. Many different choices of apps, games and the fact that is Mobile and you can take anywhere with you and connect to any tv as long you have an Amazon Prime account and connect to the internet. Option to connect a control and play games as well. If you are an Amazon subscriber this is an ideal product to do a lot great streaming. Once apps load the speed of the loading times for movies are amazingly fast. No lagging. Screen mirroring between your phone and the device is possible to 3rd party app choices. Cons: Not enough on board memory real state, after installing a few apps and games you will start to notice a slow down in between switching apps and loading some of them. Lagging will only happen in some games. Alexa isn't all that helpful. Not all apps will take advantage of the Alexa technology. After 7 to 9 days of straight use I find myself resetting the device to clear the memory to prevent from freezing up or slow downs. Hopefully an update can fix this that way when an app is closed stays closed to prevent slows downs from others. I believe the 3 stars are reasonable and honestly still a great buy for the price. If you just need to do streaming this is the device you must get. If you plan to get more out of this like gaming or ask Alexa to do additional things you can but don't expect fast responses at times. Also if you plan to download lots of apps and games I don't totally recommend it since it will at one point start to slow down the overall loading times in between apps. Games will have some lag as well if many apps are installed. Like I said, stick to the basics and you will get an amazing device even better than some $100 plus devices.

If you don’t have a TV with internet apps the Fire TV Stick is a cheap way to get all the streaming you want. The remote is RF so you don’t have to point it at your TV and is extremely responsive. Connection and setup are a breeze. Pretty amazing to see all the features available on such a small device!

The 2nd gen Amazon Fire TV Stick is better performance wise than the 1st version. Very easy to install and use. Thumbs up!

The stick has quite a few advantages over other devices, and not just its smaller size. It is easier to hook up, navigate, and transfer from home to dorm or vacation or even to work. The Black Friday deal was unbelievable, but I would still pay regular price for the Stick instead of its competitors.

I think if you have a smart TV and a Prime Account you’re only living up to about 80% of the power. The fire stick gives you a full range by perfecting picture quality, user interface and sound using Prine video. Alexa voice remote is by far the best thing as you can literally walk around your place with this item and say “Alexa, holiday music” and expect to hear “Baby it’s Cold Outside” in a matter of seconds. All around great affordable addition to any home entertainment technology.

We are in the process to moving ATL. It snowed the weekend we were in Georgia and the roads were that great. I wasn't able to get my cable installed so a purchased a Amazon Fire Stick. I was able log into my account and connect to the wifi in the area and we had TV to watch. Everyone was happy...

Great value for the inexpensive price. Easy setup after plugging it in to the HDMI port. Voice commands works without the full Alexa product. Lets me access Sling and other streaming services.

I bought my fire stick from best buy for a great price and I LOVE it!!!! I no longer have to go to the theatre knowing soon it will be on my fire stick so I can save the money from not going to the theatre and wait a lil longer and have a nice comfortable movie night in the comfort of my own home.

I love my Fire Stick, and my Dad had been talking for a while about getting away from regular cable/satellite TV. The price on this was a great deal with sales around the holidays, and my Dad loves having the Fire Stick. He is quickly adapting to a new way of enjoying shows, movies, music, etc.

The Amazon Fire TV stick is a great option for those who don't want to pay for cable. You can have access to great TV shows and Movies. It is also child friendly and games can be downloaded. An Amazon account is required for use. Definately recommend this device. It's sells for a great price also.

I honestly prefer the Roku over the amazon stick, the roku is easier to use and the apps are easy to find. Amazon stick seems a little bloated, its hard to find the apps you like, to much going on but it looks nice just really confusing. Overall its a good buy and you get used to the interface.

I've always hated paying the enormous cable bills....with an Amazon Fire Stick you no longer need to pay the ridiculous cable bills....Wifi connection needed, but then you simply plug and play. Super setup....and user friendly. Customer service is super helpful if you should have any questions.

I purchased this in addition to a basic HD set and it's performed very well. I like that the remote has the Alexa feature. I move the stick between sets and can be a little tricky to connect (it all depends on how your set's HDMI connection is oriented). Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Much faster than the 1st generation. With Amazon removing the ethernet port on the new Fire TV box, there's really no reason to spend the extra money on a Fire TV box. Works great without Prime, but definitely much better with it.

Great device for streaming. Very small but powerful. Easy to setup. Just to keep in mind that only connect through wifi. No ethernet, no usb port, no external memory. Work great with Kodi.

Great product. Easy to install and works great for a lesser price than the box. Has Amazon products but also Netflix and other channels. Voice remote will find throughout and not just on Amazon.
