Customer Ratings & Reviews

Great quality. Small and lightweight. Easy to use and read. Lighting could be better though. It has worked well so far.

This kindle is amazing. First off, for an entry-level option, this Kindle has the most important things: An awesome compact size, a clear, backlit display that looks pixel-perfect at 300 dpi and access to all the content from Amazon you could want to read. One minor caveat is that it doesn't have the full water resistance of other models, instead at only IPX8, where devices are tested to work after only a limited amount of short exposure time to water, not suitable for the beach or pool. Otherwise, this thing is a beast. I bought a glass screen protector online and put in a silicone usb-c port cover and now I'm off to the races. Looking forward to putting lots of reading time in on this one, I'm really pleased with the overall design! 4/5 stars in the quality department only because the screen is not flush with the framing and it does not have full water resistance.

I wanted a reader without back lighting. This one fits the bill. Had my old Kindle for over 10 years. The new one has more features and a longer lasting battery. I also like to read outside and the grayscale display allows easy reading without glare. The price was great and I noticed it's a bit lighter than the earlier model. Very satisfied with this purchase. - P

For the most part I love this kindle. Size, storage & front lighting are all wonderful. My only issue is when paging forward it has a tendency to go two pages forward instead of only one. Not always but too often. Still a great little reader.

"I recently purchased the Amazon Kindle E-Reader, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The device is incredibly lightweight and portable, making it perfect for reading on-the-go. The e-ink display is easy on the eyes and provides a reading experience that's comparable to reading from a physical book. One of the standout features for me is the long battery life. I can go weeks without needing to recharge, even with daily use. The built-in adjustable light is also a game-changer, allowing me to read comfortably in any lighting conditions, whether it's bright daylight or a dimly lit room. The Kindle's seamless integration with Amazon's vast library of ebooks is another huge plus. I can easily browse and purchase books right from the device, and they're instantly delivered to my Kindle without any hassle. The device also supports various file formats, so I can read documents and PDFs without any issues. Overall, I highly recommend the Amazon Kindle E-Reader to anyone looking for a reliable, feature-packed e-reader. It's made reading more convenient and enjoyable for me, and I can't imagine going back to traditional books."

The Kindle is fantastic! It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for reading anywhere. The screen is gentle on the eyes, and the battery lasts forever. Highly recommend it for book lovers!

Can't believe these are a hundred bucks already, but I needed a new one. Was hoping to wait for a sale, but needed it for a few upcoming trips. Backlit, good size for me, fits in back pocket (don't sit on it), I'm happy with it.

Bought this for my wife who LOVES to read and she LOVES IT! It’s small and light, easily fits in a pocket and makes reading in the go so easy. It’s just for reading g so there’s no other distractions which is a huge plus.

The size is perfect, battery life very extensive and good quality overall. The only thing I wished was there to be a white color other than black but great purchase.

Absolutely love the kindle it’s easy to set up and perfect for on the go, can fit anywhere! It’s not too small or too big. Battery lasts a long time. I love how you are able to read any time of the day and no more using a reading lamp!

Great reader. It's incredibly lightweight, as well as very small and thin which makes it convenient to carry around. I like how the screen is backlit but much less harsh on your eyes compared to a phone or computer screen.

[Employee of bestbuy] Small enough to fit in your hand, but big enough to read the screen. Bring it everywhere with me and can barely put it down. Great charge that last me a 2-3 days. So much storage for all my books and more

I love how compact and easy this device is. Everyone was saying the basic is laggy and to get the paperwhite instead but i have tons of books on the basic and have had no issues. My best purchase of 2023!!

Love my kindle! Stores thousands of books. Easier to read with backlight and easier to hold and travel with than a traditional book.

My kindle changed my life. I read so much more now. Its so light. It holds so many books and even audio books. The battery life lasts WEEKS. I love my kindle. My faborite feature is the dictionary.

First time kindle owner and I absolutely love it! I love the size and weight and it comes with more than enough storage to download books.

This is my first eReader purchase and I’m so happy I did it! I’ve saved money using Kindle Unlimited. The size is perfect for me and you can change the font size, so it makes no difference. My hands get a break from trying to keep a book open and it’s very user friendly. I think it’ll take time for me to get used to not holding a book (was always my preference), but I’m adjusting well and that preference is changing the more I use the Kindle. It’ll be extremely helpful when traveling or going places because it’s so compact. Definitely recommend! (And the price is good too).

I got this kindle a month ago and i absolutely love it. so light, so compact and i bring it to school everyday. it’s super convinenient for reading and i have only charged it one time and it’s still on.
