I grabbed these during Best Buy’s Black Friday in July event and I use them every day at my desk. The sound is crisp, the build feels premium, and the noise cancelling is incredible. With a newborn at home, it really helps me stay focused at work. I’m fully in the Apple ecosystem, so these pair seamlessly with all my devices and fit right into my setup. The transparency mode is also great when I need to stay aware. Totally worth the investment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent purchase! I'm delighted with these headphones. The sound is clear, powerful and well balanced, with very good bass without distortion. They are super comfortable, even after wearing them for several hours, and fit perfectly. The battery lasts a long time, they connect quickly and the audio quality for calls is also excellent. In addition, the design is modern and elegant. Without a doubt, they exceeded my expectations. I recommend them 100% for music, calls and daily use. They are totally worth it!

For pricing, it might be a bit overboard. But overall, very very GOOD headphones. So it’s more of a check your wallet situation (I imagine the Sony’s equivalent is only slightly worse) Noise Cancellation 9/10 I can be in the gym with their ahh music blasting, and once I turn on noise cancellation it’s genuinely 95% silent except my music. Audio Quality 10/10 Yeah it’s really good, I can feel the bass. Aesthetics 10/10 Not gonna lie, Apple’s Maxes are probably my favorite headphone design because they get rid of that extremely clunky feeling you get when seeing other people wear gaming headset-esque headphones outside. It actually adds to the outfit without doing too much.

I have been very impressed with the sound quality on these headphones and when I wear them I feel like I'm in another world listening to the actual artist in the studio. They sound too good and the noise cancellation is scary good. The transparency mode will make those with below average hearing think they have perfect hearing. When you hold these headphones they feel like top quality and all you need is a good hard case to protect them. You'll be very pleased with these just get them while on sale if possible.

I tried many of the headphones within the price range of the AirPods Max before purchasing them. The first time I put a pair on my head the sound quality was simply astounding. I listen to a variety of music, but first I'm a Rock & Roll boy. I listened to all my favorite bands from the 60s & 70s, when I was growing up in the SF Bay Area. The AirPods rocked! I also like classical music, so I listened to some of my favorites and the experience was impressive. I used to go to Broadway Musicals when they came through Portland. One of my favorites is Phantom of the Opera. Listening to the Phantom with the AirPods Max was almost like being in the theater. Another thing that has impressed me about these headphones is the build quality. I purchased my first pair just over two years ago and nothing has broken on them. How can anything not break? Apple used a lot of metal when designing the Max, so the quality is far above any of the headphones I tried. I have medium to large ears and nothing I had tried really felt comfortable, especially after a few hours of wear. I only like over the ears, as opposed to on the ear. The AirPods Max fit over my ears completely, and I wear them comfortably for hours. I use nothing but Apple products. I have an iPhone, Air Pad, MacBook Pro, and Apple TV. The AirPods works seamlessly with them all. The new USB-C AirPods Max headphones was a disappointment for a lot of fans because of the lack of upgrades Apple could have done but didn't. Apple kept the H1 chip in them when I had expected at least an upgrade to H2, and possibly a new H3. Why? Who knows. The other disappointment is many fans were expecting a water resistance upgrade. Why Apple decided to keep these basically the same is up for debate. Apple did change the charging port to USB-C from the old Lightning port. It's a nice change for those tired of having to interchange cords. Apple finally changed to the new USB-C because they were basically forced to by some European government/federation. The new colors is a nice upgrade. I opted for the Midnight color and they look really cool. The old gray option was just that - old. I use these to watch TV and the sound is amazing. I have premium headphones designed specifically for TV/movie watching, and the AirPods Max sound so much better. If you're looking for a premium pair of headphones, I encourage you to take a serious look at the AirPods Max.

I'm a musician but not an audiophile. This, to me, is very cool because I get to appreciate music, instruments at it's best without having to worry too much about the technical aspects of bitrate, lossless kpbs/kHz, and etc. If you're in the same track I am, you will LOVE these things. Hate the price, yes, but love the device itself. If you can, get the USBC-to-3.6mm cable from Apple so you can use these guys in planes, retro music players or basically anything else. Also, the Midnight Blue color is essentially a cool shade of dark gray, has little to no blue in it.

I really wanted to love these. The sound quality is truly amazing, the best I’ve ever experienced from any kind of in-ear or over-ear. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to try them and kind of ignored that many people mentioned the weight. The weight is definitely a factor for me. The catalyst for even considering AirPods this expensive is because my ears push my AirPod pros out. I had found some things that were working OK to help keep them in my ears, but those were kind of a pain given that I still wasn’t getting the sound experience I should be getting from AirPod Pro. I kept these AirPods Max for a couple of weeks and made a point of very carefully using them as much as possible to try and evaluate if they are right for me. The big thought I was having when I decided to make the purchase is we travel overseas at least once a year and I really wanted to have long battery life, really good sound, and total noise cancellation while on international flights. What I discovered is the weight of them makes my neck a little tired after a while and if I take them off, it is really not comfortable to wear them around my neck. Things I didn’t realize were important until after I had them: I often use one AirPod. It allows me to remain focused on what’s going on in the room but still enjoy a little music or have Siri talk to me in my ear rather than announce to the whole room what’s going on with my phone. I set a lot of reminders and alarms to keep me on task and on track and on time. So as I actually tried to find how and when I would use these, what I discovered is I wouldn’t use them very often, and the times when it’s really appropriate for me to use them, they aren’t very comfortable. Two big design flaws: the ear cups bang together if you’re not wearing them and they are not in the little case. That will eventually dent and scratch the corners. I found some silicone covers for about $20 on Amazon that worked great to protect them, but it irritated me that after spending that much money, I needed to buy something else just to keep them in good condition. Also, there is no way to turn them off without putting them in the magnetic case. So if you just take them off your ears and put them around your neck the battery continues to run down. Apple has a lot of work to do here. In my humble opinion, there’s a very small audience of people who would actually love these. To me, definitely not worth the money.

If you're in Brooklyn and shopping for tech—especially Apple products—the Best Buy on Atlantic Ave is hands down the place to go.

I’ve owned several pairs of headphones over the years, but the AirPods Max easily top them all. Great audio and easy connection. A little too big, I wish they were more universal when it comes to size, but I ordered silicone covers that made them fit better. Battery is comparable to regular airpods, so I wish they had an off button.

I hesitated to spend the money and missed out on a few “like new” open box pairs because of this. Finally pulled the trigger and so happy I did. The mesh top is the game changer for me, I always get a headache from other headphones resting on the top of my head, so was keen to see if the AirPod max mesh really makes a difference. Happy to say yes, it does. I can wear these headphones for hours with no discomfort. I did bite the bullet and get the USB-C rather than the USB but I don’t see that there is any real need Music sound quality is excellent. The noise cancellation always helps in a busy environment too. No bad to say apart from, let’s face it, they are dang expensive!

Great set of headphones. With the mesh material they breath well and I don’t feel like my ears are cooking. The steel support hinges are huge as my last set of beats snapped at the actual headphone from the pressure of putting them in and taking off. Sound quality is great and the noise cancellation is amazing. Really got a feel for it when my two teens were arguing and I turned it on and nothing but blissful silence as they went back and forth. Worth the price 100%
