Great speed, distance & range..only complaint I have is when your logged to the router your listed devices connected to the router will disappear and then reappear, almost makes you think devices are losing connection but there not..possible firmware update will fix this issue..The app doesn't have this issue..

I have tried about 7 different routers in order to replace an older 1900ac router that kept giving me "Buffering" problems when I had my laptops on in the living room along with streaming movies. I tried high end tri-bands through low end dual bands and none on them overcame the problem until I purchased this router. I does not lose connections either. It is Definitely a Keeper :)

Had this running for a few weeks now - only had to reboot once, and I'm not sure if it was the router or the cable service that had the problem. Good strong signal throughout a 2 story 3500 sq ft house, garage, backyard. A bit more than I wanted to pay though.

Our home is fairly spread out and we needed a router that would carry throughout. This seems to be doing the job.

Covers a whole 2500 sq ft house with 20+ devices connected and good speed to match gig internet. There are tons of customizable settings that can be used for setup but it is basically plug and play for someone that isn’t knowledgeable like me.

It's okay, but 5ghz signal disappears daily

SUMMARY: Good/functional for limited number of bandwidth users; 5ghz band signal goes out and stays out intermittently on daily basis AT LEAST, despite firmware updates, usually solved with router reboot.
It works, and I get 163mb/s when I pay for 150mb/s with Cox here in Nevada. However, I'll find that my 5ghz signal goes out intermittently, and I'll have to reboot the router to get it to come on again.
BUT: I don't know if the 5ghz band goes out more frequently than I notice. I don't have many bandwidth users in my household, and I can only provide the daily instance of band drop for as often that I actually check. Often, my desired devices simply default to connecting to the router's 2ghz band signal anyway; with the few users I have on this network, it's not that big an issue.
Givens:
- Updated firmware for router and separate modem.
- Specific controls changed on devices accordingly, for preference to specific band.

Replaced my old ASUS ac66r which had been good but started dropping signal. So far this has been consistent with excellent range and speed. It has many great features that may be more than most need. I especially like the Dual Band Smart Connect and the Adaptive Quality of Service capabilities.

I've always purchased less expensive routers. With the kids getting older and everyone connected it slowed EVERYTHING down. The AC3100 solved that problem. There are a lot of options with this router to make connecting according to your lifestyle easy. Worth the money... AND it was cheaper than Amazon :-)

I needed to set this up for a client. Easy walk through, looks great, performs great, was able to use same wireless SSID which means I didnt have to touch every device in the house. Just reboots and on AppleTVs needed to forget network then rejoin.
Very happy!

I continue to use ASUS routers as they have been very reliable. This model was easier to configure for my unusual purpose. It is indeed fast.
It's easy to configure everything you'd expect in a router. A firmware update went smoothly. I use MAC address filtering and that is easy to set up.

Simple to set up, great speed. I wasn't sold on the value of a primary router but does make a huge difference.
