We bought this router per a recommendation by the Geek Squad. We needed one with better coverage for our home and this one did not disappoint. We have coverage through the whole house and it has been working great.

I have purchased 8 of these routers in the last year for my customers and they great. Easy to configure, awesome range and great Parental control for the family. This router is excellent for gaming, business and home use.

Upgraded from a Linksy and I couldn't be happier. I have it hooked up in my basement and I get great signal on my second level everywhere I go. Hasn't been disconnecting me and needing to be reset like my last router either.

I had an RT-AC68P and needed to have wired network in a location of the home I didn’t want to wire. Thanks to ASUS mesh I upgraded to this blazing fast 3100 and go mesh connectivity hat was a breeze to setup

I have CenturyLink 1G fibre at the house and the router they use I was getting 64Mbs at best over wireless. I found that you can use other routers as long as it supports vlan tagging which this router does. I bought it set it up and when plugged directly into the router I was getting over 900Mbps The router is in my basement because my wife works from home and we had to setup and office space down there. My laptop is on the opposite side of the house and upstairs from the router and I still get over 200Mbps speeds compared to the 60Mbps on CenturyLinks crappy router that they make you think is all you can use. I would highly recommend this router especially if you gave CenturyLink 1G fibre.

Awesome for everything we run. 3 smart tvs, xbox one, 3 smart phones, alexa and tablets from time to time. Noticable differences in speed after switching to this router.

Great coverage from this router. Replaceable antennas allowed us to use our own that are mounted outside and still had great coverage.

Has both 2.4 and 5G wireless speed, great for gaming or streaming.

Really impressed with the performance and wi-fi range.

Works as expected. The router was easy to setup and use.

I checked my internet speeds before and after installing the router and it was a huge jump. I just had a N router and I can tell the difference. The 5ghz is very fast. I have yet to hook up a usb drive but it looks simple.

This is a great router with plenty of capacity for multiple users.

Pros: doubled my internet speed Cons: first one stopped working on 5ghz band and had to exchange it in one day. Second one had issues with dropping 5ghz band a couple times as well but very rarely.

My previous router was a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 that had issues maintaining stable Wi-Fi on the 2.4 Ghz band after Netgear started borking their firmware updates about a year or so ago. I could've just used DD-WRT or Advanced Tomato but after doing some research about Asus routers and their firmware interface I decided to give it a go. The firmware on the Asus has so far been pretty rock solid as far as Wi-Fi connectivity is concerned compared to the Netgear. I even loaded Asuswrt-Merlin for even more stability, as if the stock firmware wasn't stable enough. All in all I hope to have this router around for a while as long as Asus or Asuswrt-Merlin keeps releasing stable firmware updates.

I got this router for $197 on a one day sale. Best Buy price matched Amazon for the deal. This router has been flawless. I have 20 devices connected and there is no slowdown.

I live in a house over 4000 sq ft and was using a netgear router that worked ok but just died one day. This one has worked out much better and has more range. For the price I would say it gets the job done.
