Customers find value in the ProArt P16's stunning 4K OLED touchscreen and excellent battery life, praising its performance for creative workloads and ample storage. However, some users express disappointment with the 60Hz refresh rate and occasional fan noise. The lightweight design and high-quality speakers are also frequently highlighted as positive aspects.

Very powerful, beautiful display. Handles video editing, photo design gracefully. It would be perfect, imo, if it had a number pad and USB power source. Buy meter is at a 10 for me.

The ProArt-16 is a great laptop. Battery life is about 5 hrs depending on what you are doing. Typing / writing is not very resourse intensive and will give you the most battery life. Editing video will cut the battery time down to around 3 hrs. There are 2 M.2 slots. Drive 0 has the operating system. The other drive slot is empty. The board will accept up to a 4 TB gen 4 drive with no issues. The bios does not have the ability to support RAID. You can emulate it with a software RAID setup - but its not something I would do. If you want to add a second M.2 - the process is very easy. There are several DIY video on YouTube specifically on this Laptop which will explain in great detail how to clone the OE drive and replace it with a larger one and how to add a second drive. I did this and it only took a couple of hours from the drive clone up to installation of both new drives. The RAM is soldered onto the board and you cannot add additional RAM. I have the 32GB RAM ProArt and have not had any issues processing Insta360 video with CapCut. The mouse pad is big - however I do not use it as I do not care for mouse pads. You can disable the mouse pad in the bios. The case of the laptop is aluminum and looks pretty slick. The AMD Ryzen processor seems more than capable of rendering video from mp4 into .flv or whatever else you want it for. You can game on this laptop - I've read people using it to play WOW or Fortnite with good success. Just remember the keyboard will get hot and the fans will be running hard to keep it cool. Since the case is not very thick - maybe 3/4 of an inch - heat will pass thru to your hands. When you transfer a huge amount the M.2 will get hot and you will feel it. I like this laptop so much more than my Apple MacBook Pro. The display is outstanding - and its a touch screen. It's very light and the power brick is not that big either making the entire setup very light and able to be carried without much strain. If you are looking for a laptop that was specifically designed for video and picture editing then look no further than the ProArt series from Asus. It really is superior to the MacBook in value and price.

Beautiful looking laptop with s beautiful OLED display. 60 hertz is a bit disappointing but the CPU, GPU, Ram combo is pretty hard to beat this price point. I will say it does seem a bit buggy. Trackpad sometime as a delay. Random winndows popping up and cant close them wirhout rebooting the device. I use an M3 air for work and this Pro Art is nowhere near as snappy. I purchased to pro art for my Cyber Security degree starting soon and im still on rhe fence. Going to spin up some VM’s this week and put some more usage on it before i decide whether i’ll return it or not. Just ran all of the updates so we’ll see if that helps at all. I really want to give it 3 stars but im gonna go with 4 and give it the benefit of the doubt, for now.

This is by far the best laptop I've ever owned! From the speed, the picture quality, and the way this laptop feels as i hold it and type, it just doesn't get any better. My only gripe is that my battery life doesn't last longer than somewhere around 4-5 hours of use (not constant use as I walk away mulitple times and my computer will go to sleep, so this is only an estimate). I've only owned this laptop for 1 month and I'm still tweaking the settings to see if I can get my battery life to last longer, but the one setting I refuse to change is HDR as it would be a waste of screen if I didin't always use this feature. But 4-5 hours is good enough for my use. Other than that, I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed with this laptop. It feels great to the touch, it handles tasks well, and the screen is just amazing. I'm really into picture quality (I own a 77" LG C1 and C4) and this screen looks just as good. Rich vibrant colors, movies look incredible, and my pictures have never looked better. At this price, this is a great buy!

not actually "WiFi 7". Battery life not great

The wifi module is a Mediatek MT7925, which is not a REAL WiFi 7 compatible radio. it's only capable of 160MHz bandwidth on the 6GHz frequency. WiFi 7 calls for 320MHz. Mediatek actually has a chipset capable of that, the MT79257, but Asus opted to use what is essentially a rebadged WiFi 6E radio instead. They could have also used a Qualcomm NCM865 radio. Asus had options, but they chose save $3 on the cost of parts Battery life is surprisingly short. just doing office work in excel/outlook/bluebeam kills the battery in under 3 hours. it should last longer given that this is a 90wh battery the screen is amazing, but that's not a selling point. you can get this same display panel on a 4k lenovo, dell, razer or pretty much any other high end laptop. i don't know if this is a fluke, but on two occasions now, my laptop refused to start until i plugged into an outlet. battery had over 75% charge both times, but it would not start until i plugged it in. i think it would be better to wait for traditional laptop vendors like dell and HP to release "Ryzen AI" laptops instead of jumping on this.

Incredibly beautiful device. It is, however, a fingerprint magnet. While it’s somewhat easy to wipe off of the lid, the oil from your fingers will discolor the trackpad seemingly irreversibly, and is actually the reason I returned the device. That’s particular of me I know but I just hated this expensive beautiful device making me feel like a slob with a gross looking trackpad and keycaps. That aside, the screen is gorgeous, 32gb of ram is awesome and meets all my needs. Fan noises were very easily controlled with the proart software, whisper mode really was quiet and allowed impressive performance without noise. Battery life was not bad at 6-8 hours of real world use. Surprisingly poor frankly compared to the most recent competition from intel’s core ultras and even a bit worse than other similar devices with the same cpu and gpu like the g16 (with a 240hz OLED panel). Anyway, this guy outperforms the g16 with identical specs, so I suppose the battery life hit can be overlooked. If you can live with fingerprints and oily trackpad, I do recommend it!

The ProArt P16 is easily one of the best creative-focused laptops I’ve used. The OLED display is bright, color-accurate, and perfect for photo or video work. Performance is smooth even with heavy multitasking or rendering, and the thermals are surprisingly well-controlled for this level of power. The build feels solid and professional without being flashy. The customizable dial and port selection are real productivity boosts. It’s a creator laptop that’s optimized for workflow. Battery life isn’t record-breaking, but that’s a fair trade-off for this kind of performance and screen quality. If you value precision, reliability, and a no-nonsense design built for actual work, the ProArt P16 nails it. Highly recommend.

Purchased for work. So far, very nice. Slick, fast, and quiet. Good value upgrade. Also the screen is absolutely gorgeous. After reviewing hardware for all available laptops, this is the *only* one landing at the msrp perfect value-performance sweet spot this generation, currently mid-late 2024.

Purchased for graphic design student. Love the OLED display. Battery life could be better (info states up to 10 hrs of light to medium use). Currently getting approximately 2 - 3 hrs (graphic work, social media, video chat, and gaming mainly).

Good Laptop that is hurt by the 60hz Refresh rate

Good laptop, but the 60hz refresh rate really hurts this product. We're all used to 120hz refresh rates now with smartphones and tablets and even other laptops, this is really noticeable on this laptop. The ROG Zephyrus with the same battery efficient AMD chip has a 120HZ refresh rate so I ended up returning the Pro Art for it. If the 60hz doesn't bother you then I would recommend the Pro Art
