Band of Brothers is a 10 part mini series that follow one regiment through their battles and experiences through World War 2. It's based on a true story and aired on HBO... The show was really well done as you would expect from a show produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. It's more of a dramatic telling of these young men's experiences and not just a bunch of battles each episode. When there are battles they are very realistic and believable. The show also starts of with brief interviews from some of the men who lived through the war... The show has a good ensemble cast with good performances, led mainly by Damian Lewis and Ron Livingston. There are a ton of appearances from actors who would go on to be big stars like Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Tom Hardy... The picture quality of the Blu Rays is great, especially for a television show. The special features are good as well. There's a full length documentary told from the men who inspired the show, a series of video diaries taken by Ron Livingston, and more. This is a show that will definitely please both movie and tv buffs as well as history buffs...A

I was looking for movies and shows to buy and this one came up for 10 bucks so I decided to buy it. It was pretty good honestly, it had the same feel as Saving Private Ryan but through 10 episodes and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Amazing deal, $10 for the complete series. Not 4k but still looks great on blu ray. If you like Saving Private Ryan or war movies in general, this is for you. Hurry & buy if you still can.

I lost my original version in a theft. Hopefully they watched it and learned how real men act. It’s possibly the best story of WWII ever made. The best part is that it’s based on real men doing real heroic things and created by one of our generations greatest filmmakers and storytellers. See this movie.

Band of brothers is an extremely worthwhile watch.

This series reminds us (especially Veterans) of the horror & camaraderie of wartime service. Well written based on true events, blu ray provides a fantastic viewing experience.

I spent over 40 years as a U.S. Army paratrooper - 1968 -2010. Served in Vietnam as well as Iraq and other places. I watched the series on TV, then read the books - Band of Brothers and Beyond Band of Brothers. The movie really sticks close to the books. This series really gives as accurate a picture of what the airborne experienced in WW2 as it is possible to find. Already watched it several times as I see something new each time.

I love this DVD miniseries! It's so entertaining, and I enjoy the more historical aspect, it's not just pure action and Hollywood magic to make it look good. It's like saving private Ryan, but 10 hours long

An excellent WW2 series. Good action sequences with adequate character development to get the viewer interested in their fates. The disks arrived in good shape.

A must have to teach our young generation of the sacrifices made for our country. The youth is so out of touch and taught opinions from teachers instead of facts. Made me cry to see our WW2 vets give there experience into this series. I myself have been serving and continue to serve 13 yrs now. My son watched it and admires the courage our Countrymen have to keep us safe

My favoertie his is an excellent miniseries, the precursor to The Pacific, this series focuses on the European Front in WW2, from the perspective of a number of American soldiers. The story is gritty and realistic, as accurate a depiction of the war as I've yet seen. The acting is fantastic, and the voiceovers by Tom Hanks give you a lot of background information prior to each episode.

This is one of my favorite WWII series. It was well done and I believe it to be fairly accurate. The picture is great and the sound is acceptable.

Beyond a great series, they spoke with the real men who this is based on and there experiences. Don’t think they could make anything this in depth today, definitely worth a watch

This is an amazingly well done mini-series! The true soldiers it portrays have really fought the Good Fight!!! And our freedom is all the more real and defended because of it!

This production is without doubt the most realistic and heart-felt saga of all World War II films. My Uncle jumped with the 101st on D-Day, and said this was a true retelling of what happened...TOO true-to-life for him to finish watching parts. A perfect film from Spielberg, Hanks, and historian Stephen Ambrose...with one of the most provacative film scores ever!

HBO certainly knocked it out of the park with this one--really tries to give the viewer a more appreciable sense of what these soldiers went through, with striking AV quality throughout. There's some great bonus material like PiP tracks as well. And it was such a success that HBO also went on to produce another WW2 miniseries "The Pacific" which was outstanding as well.

This mini series was originally broadcast back in the early 2000's. It's based on actual people who fought in world war 2. The performances, the writing, the direction, and the production values are top shelf. If you are a history buff and you value an honest retells;ling of what it was like to serve in the war, then you must see this series. You won't be let down.

I binge watched this series years ago during a Veteran's Day marathon and loved it. Many other WWII themed films/shows glamorize the "look" of war. This show does not and I have to believe the depiction is much more accurate representation. I also really loved the character stories in the series. Like Saving Private Ryan, the focused is on people, not war.

Band of Brothers is a great series about history and war. Great cast of actors and intensity of war.

Best series in years I have watched. Box set is well made and an excellent addition to my library. If you enjoy series about war I strongly recommend!
