A brilliant series in the vein of Private Ryan....

With the anniversary of D-Day just behind us I have been watching everything I can about WWII lately. This series is one of the better ones depicting the Second World War.

Made my yearly watch even easier time to see if the old lady like it.

If you liked Saving Private Ryan, you will love this HBO series. Gritty, beautifully filmed and amazing sound. Definitely worth it, especially at the discounted price of $14.99!

This show is filled with great actors and is a must have for any WWII movie fans. You will be amazed how many actors in this you recognize and the quality is high.

This is a great mini series about the men of Easy company and their travels from D-day to the end of the war. Great acting, great writing, just simply great!

An awe inspiring TV show that follows the brave, young men that came to known as The Greatest Generation as they begin, continue and finish the struggle as Nazism.

It’s Blu-ray and it works, not much else to say here.

Story of the 101st in WW II . In places hard to watch ( war is hell ) and hard to turn away from. Not the watered down versions I watched when I was younger.

This was a replacement for my old dvd set. Can’t remember how many times I’ve watched it,but it never gets old. Probably the best mini series ever produced

The movie is based upon the book by Stephen Ambrose and is depicted in a 10 part mini-series produced by HBO and Executive Producers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. The mini-series follows the lives of the men of Easy Company of the 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division of the US Army from basic training, thru jump school, their initial deployment to England, and their subsequent jumps and combat experiences from D Day thru VE Day. The final part of the series also covers their personal experiences in Europe up until VJ Day and their discharge from active service. The mini-series provides its audiences with the reasons why our service veterans of WW II are often referred to as "Our Country's Greatest Generation." The collective experiences of their personal service, bravery, sacrifice, brotherhood and dedication to duty all of which were performed while under some of the most difficult circumstances that mankind has ever endured speaks volumes as to the character and commitment of these citizen soldiers. The movies production, directing, acting, scenery, props and sound were also excellent. Definitely a must have for anyone who enjoys history and War movies.

The best mini series that I have ever seen. Extremely compelling, well done acting and cinematography. Warning, some points are very graphic with gore.

This is an amazing series and a good way for us to see what sacrifices millions of people made in WWII. Best Buy had a good deal on it, so I picked it up.

Waited a year to get this on black friday sale since was out.of stock.last year. Already had the DVD box set but wanted the bluray. Very happy
