This unit was purchased to replace the previous Garmin camera we purchased a year and some change ago. The previous unit started acting up and finally quit. It lasted about 16 to 18 months. The new unit works as well as the previous camera did when new. I still recommend this unit, but suggest getting the extended warranty.

Best Buy install was excellent and inexpensive, worked with trim and position of rear latch. Wireless rear-view takes a second after shifting into reverse. BC-30 works with several different Garmin GPS options. Resolution decent, not stunning, and a little blurry when it is wet or dark, but still functional even then and great capability to have! Great value compared to new car option.

It was fairly simple to wire the transmitter behind a tail light on my 2008 Chevrolet pickup and there was enough cable to reach the license plate from there. I wired the power to the reverse lamp so the camera activates while in reverse.

install appointment was easy and well within a reasonable time frame. I showed up early and there he was. True to his word and time frame. Backup camera works fine and happy with the total deal. I purchase the one year Geek Squad service policy and saved some money on the install...happy camper

Resolution of the camera for objects at a distance is a little lower than I would like. Resolution for close-in objects is fine. Occasionally does not switch on when shifting to reverse. Not sure if it is a poor connection or the wireless signal is weak. Overall does a good job.

Fantastic! Easy to install and good back up view through camera.

I wish I had bought this years ago. When I place the gear in reverse it automatically shows what's behind the car, then when gears are changed, the forward camera view show. It's great! I had it installed at Best Buy (in-house) for no fee as I had purchased the Geek Plan when I bought my TV. Such a deal!

This backup camera works as well as the backup camera that was installed at the factory in our 2017 GMC Acadia.

Didn't even know that my Garmin could be adapted to accept a backup camera but when I found that it could and that this was the one, I bought it immediately. What a blessing to have my older model vehicle upgraded like a new one with this accessory!

Installation was fairly easy and it varies from car to car. Had to update the GPS to enable the camera to work (software and firmware updates) so if you purchase, be sure you've downloaded your GPS' latest updates. Took 5 hours!!! for mine to update. All in all, good product and worth the money.

Really good camera for and back up garmin Bc30 system. I have 3 of these cameras and they work great but caution if your going to put a 360 camera view like I did DO NOT PUT CAMERA IN FRONT OF YOUR CAR if you do it will show images reverse
