I have 2, one on my truck, and the other on back of my 20 foot trailer, I did both installations myself and paired with Garmin GPS, I love them, would of given 5 start, except for the inconvenience of having to disconnect power to pair.

It produces a very high quality image and lag time to interface is minimum. One minor negative is the size of the camera. Due to inspection regs for autos I had to relocate to the side of the license plate because of blocking the light from the plate.

Garmin Backup Camera

Unit worked as expected and was fairly easy to install. Camera feed is grainy and medium definition. But it serves its purpose and helps in backing up to curbs and seeing what's behind you backing out of a parking space where a large vehicle blocks your view.

We are using our Garmin RV780. GPS as the monitor for this camera.
I have the camera powered off the back up light circuit in our Roadtrek camper van.
My only gripes with the unit are the delay in manifesting the rear view picture while the camera apparently boots up, and the fact that sometimes transitioning from full GPS display to camera display causes the GPS to reboot, so you have to wait for that to complete before the camera image appears.

This is the second vehicle I've installed the Garmin BC30. I've got a Polaris slingshot and it needed a backup camera and this device was perfect. I bought a used vehicle and it needed a backup camera so the Garmin BC 30 was the answer.
Easy installation and outstanding results.

I had Best Buy install this camera on my 17 foot RV. I had little view to the rear without the camera. With the compatible Garmin GPS the view comes up almost instantly when I put the vehicle in Reverse. The installation was seamless and inexpensive. Nice work Best Buy in Kingston, Ma.

We got this rearview camera to go with our Garmin GPS, our car was not equipped with either. The camera has a great picture, very clear. My wife and I did the installation, following the instructions, in a matter of 2-3 hours. We really like it and we highly recommend it!

In my personal oinion, this is the best option for a back up camera for those who have a portable GPS System with a back up camera option in their vehicle. The image is clear and shows the red, yellow, and green lines so you know how close you are to an object behind you.

This is a good product and takes care of a very important defect in old vehicles without having to upgrade to a new vehicle. It helps you to avoid hitting somebody while backing up and associated liabilities. I am satisfied with this product.

This camera was very easy to install. Took about 1 hour. The hardest part was determining the best way to run the wires on my Jeep but that will vary depending on the vehicle. Just wire it into the wires going to the back up lights and it works perfectly.

This product works great in just about any environment. I purchase these for Service Techs and they use it to help them out of tight situations. I also have one on a vehicle of mine. It works great. I love having that security of seeing behind me and knowing how to proceed.

Ok in daylight, not much in dark; power plug died

Fair enough in daylight, but not so much in the dark. The power plug died after 2 years or so, and I got another kit when on sale, but it seemed defective. This also happened with another BC30 cable/receiver that I got on eBay. Then I found that I needed to "pair" the receiver with a camera it did not come with:

That took about 30 seconds.
If the GPS I use it with, Nuvi 2597LMT, ever dies, will probably get a better standalone backup camera.

Worked really well after the geek squad installation. It lets you see where you are backing up in real time. My only problem is that I only have a 5 inch GPS display so It is a little hard to see, especially being close to 70 years old. It was paired with my Garmin nuvi 2557 LMT.

Great option to add a backup camera without an additional screen device by using your own Garmin GPS. Installation and set up was a breeze, and although the image clarity is not very crisp, it serves the purpose of a backup camera to watch for obstacles when backing up.

With a compatible Garmin GPS this camera is awesome. Just clip it onto your license plate and run the wires to either a trailer harness or reverse light. The camera turns on and sends the image to the GPS when you're backing up.

Purchase this for my truck to help me back into my driveway. Slight delay between the time that you switch into reverse and it changes on the screen. Picture is sort of blurry at times and the camera gets dirty easily.
