On Mornings we use the pot to make 10 cups of coffee at a time, and we also use the individual side for the one offs. So far, all has worked well.

I really enjoy this new coffeepot. I make a full pot in the morning and we use the single cup in the afternoon for a cup of coffee or hot cocoa.

Best of both worlds. Make a solid pot of coffee for you and friends or simply make a single Kerig cup. Seriously, the best of both worlds.

I have had mine over a month now and have never been so impressed with a coffeemaker before! It is so convenient to be able to choose between brewing 4-12 cups on the carafe side, or on the other side I can brew; a pod or use a small filter to brew a homemade pod or a thermos of coffee! It's important to note you can use any pods including keurig pods but, I believe you can ONLY use keurig pods In keurig machines which limits your options and is much more expensive! I totally recommend this to anyone!

We love this coffee maker. It uses pods plus can make a pot. Has six cup sizes. Easy to use. Comes with a great thermal cup.

This coffe maker keeps my coffee hot and fresh.the mug is perfect for travel it will keep your coffe hot for 6 hours

i love this! it's tottaly worth buying. Being able to make a single cup or multiple is great.

it is missing the ability to choose how big a pot to brew. it will brew whatever water is in the pot. I also cant keep the pot warm and make a k-cup at the same time. a way to switch brewer between pot and k-cup would be nice. It works though.

I really think Black and Decker got this one right over any other dual brew machine currently on the market. About a year ago the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew got my attention however, due to it's poor reviews I held off buying it for 3 reasons. #1- reports of the coffee tasting like plastic, #2- the hot plate remaining on during single brew, #3- the single brew side stopped working after a period of time. Now, fast forward to today. I saw this Black and Decker Dual Brew unit at Best Buy and thought I'd do some research to see what kind of reviews it had. Unfortunately since this is a fairly new product there aren't many reviews yet available and the available reviews lacked essential information that I was looking for so I decided to try it out for myself and I'm quite glad that I did. After unpacking the machine I brewed AT LEAST 3 full carafes of just WATER through the machine and then brewed three cycles of just WATER on the 20 oz single serve side. Then I soaked and washed all removable parts in warm soapy dish water to remove any "new" smell from them. This is essential with any new machine so your coffee doesn't taste like the packaging. Taking time to read the owners manual is also a must as it provides several helpful tips on preparing your machine and selecting the correct brew function. Now for some testing. Full 12 cup carafe....approx. brew time 10 minutes.....temperature of brewed carafe approx. 187 degrees. Single serve 8 oz cup.....approx. brew time just under 2 minutes....temperature of brewed cup approx. 174 degrees Single serve 20 oz travel mug.....approx. brew time 5 minutes....temperature of brewed mug approx. 176 degrees There are several brew size selections available however, I only conducted the above tests for brew time and temperature. There were two big questions I had about this machine. #1-The actual taste of the coffee #2- Whether the hot plate for the carafe got hot during single serve brewing. I found that it takes some experimenting to get the right amount of coffee grounds per brew. My first attempt at a full carafe yielded a slightly weak pot of coffee. I used 1 tbsp of grounds per cup of water and selected reg brew. (I have not yet tried robusto) Same was true for the single serve side using my own ground coffee in the filter basket. The second time around I added more grounds which improved the strength. I tried a kcup on the single serve side and brewed it on the 8 oz setting and it was perfect. So, each individual will have to experiment a bit to find what best suits your taste with this machine when using ground coffee. There was absolutely NO bad plastic taste at all in my coffee but again, thorough washing of the removable parts and brewing several cycles of only water is a key to any new machine. The hot plate DOES NOT get hot or turn on when brewing on the single serve side. This unit does not have any kind of programmable functions on it so if you like to set up your machine before hand and have it automatically start brewing at a specific time then this one isn't for you. I never used that function on my other machines because I like to put fresh coffee in just before brewing so that part didn't appeal to me when considering this machine. Best Buy already had a good price on this unit at $119 however I had a 20% off small appliance coupon which brought it down to just under $99. Even though Black and Decker offers a limited 2 year warranty I decided to purchase Best Buys extended 2 year replacement plan for $20 since it's much easier to take it back to the store then it is to send it to the manufacturer. All in all I'm very pleased with this coffee maker and I'm hopeful that it will function for several years to come without any issues. I think that once people discover this unit it will probably be flying off the shelves! Hope this review is helpful to others considering it. Also, this particular unit included the 20 oz travel mug as well.

It does all.the things i need it too. It just doesn't have a timer or clock

Have been looking for a coffee maker that has the dual ability to brew either a pot of coffee or a single k-cup. This is the only product we found that let you keep enough water in the tank to do either. A different product by another famous maker did not allow this. If you had too much water for a k-cup, you had to remove some water till you had the correct amount.

Love the different size of ounces to choose from and use of pot or cup.

love the option of single cup or making a pot. Coffee is nice and hot.

I like the fact that you can take the water tank off the back and fill it without using the carafe. I haven't tried the pod part of the coffee mAker. I bought some pods and will try that this week.
