This Tivo Bolt is very user friendly and economically priced. I have the four TV Turner 500 GB unit. I have it set to record dozens of TV programs, to only keep for one day. This way, if there is something I would of like to have watched, it would be recorded. On the other hand, if I was not really interested in the program it would automatically be erased and replaced by the following day program. WOW!

I love that it combines all of my online internet apps such at Netflix and brings them into one searchable place. Great job Tivo!!

I recently switched to twc. Their dvr does not have 30 sec skip. I figured I try tivo again . It'seems a great all In one device.

This is by far the best DVR you can buy. Tivo was the first and is still the best. The interface is great and easy to use.

If you are looking for a simple playback system this is it. No gimmick just simple playback and you can skip commercials!

The Bolt works great recording on air stations. Really nice to skip all the commercials while watching a program.

Tivo is a great dvr and worth the money but I could not keep boxes because of monthly cost

sales person was not knowledgeable on product - had to download instructions - 80 pages - did not know about $15 mo/fee until turned on. - had some issues with operation - had to go to product blog sight to get answers - still having issues with cable card - using WOW - now on second cable card still not working - WOW is sending tech to try to resolve.

It took 4 visits from Cox Cable, two visits to Cox retail store, 4 calls to Tivo tech support, 4 calls to Cox Tech Support, 4 cable cards, two cable decoders, and two Bolts but finally working! No joke, this took 3 weeks to get squared away but finally working, and it's great. If you've got grit, go for it. If you're a mama's boy, stay home.

The Tivo Bolt is a great step on the way to cutting the cord. While you still have to have a cable TV hookup if you're going that route, you could elect to use an OTA (over the air antenna). I bought this model because the Bolt Plus didn't allow for use of an OTA. While the Bolt has just 500GB of space, that's more than enough for most users. I would like to see an interface to Sling TV in the future so I can record streaming TV.

I bought a Bot 500 to replace my TiVo Premiere, which had a hard drive failure. The first one I bought was defective -- it wouldn't recognize CableCards, which made it useless. I returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for another unit. The new one works fine. The four tuners allow me to keep a few of my favorite channels available. I'm very happy with my new Bolt.

The BOLT Tivo is very fast and is linked to my Premier box via my WiFi .located in my downstairs living room

I purchased this Tivo to replace my rented Fios DVR. It works so much better. No matter the timing adjusts i would make to my Fios DVR, it would still cut off the last few minutes of my recorded show. This drove me bananas because I would intentionally set the DVR to start recording 2 minutes before the show aired and 2 minutes after it was scheduled to end to insure i didnt miss the most important parts. Im so happy i made the switch. I am now DVR problem free!

Once the TiVo - BOLT was set up and operating, it performed better than expected. Great product for the price.

The Bolt was a big improvement over my Premiere. The recording capabilities are the same, but the streaming channels come up much faster, commercial skipping is instant for the shows where it is enabled, and you can view your shows remotely. The only downsides are that the selection of streaming channels is small, unlike a Roku or even a Samsung TV, and watching shows remotely works better sometimes than others.

So I got this, dumped cable and now dvr ota channels and enjoy Netflix. Paid for itself in leas than two months.

Easy to set up and run. But very slow setup. Also if your a light sleeper it hums a lil

Very convience to install and to use. You can record, view later even you delete the program and see later

The Bolt worked great. Just didn't want to have to pay the $15 a month fee to record.

Getting this thing set up on cable requires alot of patience with the cable company. Once everything on the cable side is working it is great. Much faster operation than my previous Tivos. If this thing had apps for Playstation Vue, SlingTv or the new Directv streaming service with recording capability it would be perfect.
