Upgraded from a TiVo premier, or at least I thought it would be an upgrade. After swapping my service over from my premier I could not receive any channels, even after calling the cable company to re-pair the cable card. They sent a technician out; they ended up swapping the cable card for a new one, and I began to receive channels. That evening after work, I checked the channels again and noticed I was not receiving all the channels I previously received with my premier. I again contacted the cable company and after them not being able to resolve the issue, they again scheduled another service call. The technician came out again and they were not able to help. They said they would turn a service ticket into their technical department and I should expect a call. In the meantime, just to see what would happen, I put the cable card back in my premier and I am able to receive all my channels. I contacted TiVo and explained the situation where I was informed that they are aware that the Bolt “is very sensitive” when it comes to cable cards. They say my Bolt is working correctly and they recommend trying up to 5 cable cards to find one that works correctly. So now if I want to get this $200 waste of money to work I have schedule another service call with my cable provider and try and convince them to bring out 5 cards with them. If TiVo is aware of this situation, why don’t they try to fix it?
