Have use the TiVo bolt for some time now and have not missed a show. Love the fact I’m able to skip commercials. The monthly fee is a little high but still a saving over using cable dvr

I got this on a sale to upgrade my old 2 tuner premier. I lime the new features. Was not crazy about the color, but i did not want to go to the price level for black. Anyway, next to the wii it fits right in.

Great Unified TV Recorder / Streaming Device

If you're looking for a unified way to watch and record HD Cable (CableCard required) or Over the Air HD broadcasts (antenna required), the TiVo Bolt is fantastic! It gives you a single view of your recorded shows and those available over streaming services. Missed an episode? Don't worry, no searching is required. The TiVo Bolt makes it super easy to find the episode of that show with no problems. If the show is available from multiple streaming services, you can take your pick from whichever one you want to use. It's really a great device for Cable-Cutters who may want to go back to Cable someday - since it provides functionality for either. On top of that you can also setup a MOCA network over your coaxial cable too! Give the TiVo Bolt a try - it's awesome!

I'm a big fan of TiVo. I find that it's generally very user friendly, especially once it's set up the first time. I have 3 boxes and a Mini. My favorite thing is the ability to network multiple TiVos and minis. The TiVos can also see each other and view the programs on the other TiVos. You can also transfer programs from one TiVo to another and download or stream shows to a phone or tablet. The biggest downside is having to get a cable card from the cable company. The times I've needed to call TiVo customer service have been positive experiences. The reps seem to know the product well.

I get all my cable channel with a cable card. I can watch live TV or my recorded shows via the app on my phone or table from anywhere. I don't like that it must be recording to watch via app, but I just delete the recording later. Saving so much $$ getting rid of my DVR box and service.

I bought the smallest model. It does what I want it to do and more. I gave it a 5-star rating because it works so well. If I could, I would give it a 4 1/2 because the set up is not really clear. I had to go to the internet and called Tivo to get it running plus adding a Tivo Mini.

The Tivo Bolt is hands down a better DVR than my cable company provided. The channel guide shows the schedule much farther out than the old box and it seems much more responsive. Setup was a breeze as I already had an extra cable card I used in another device. The system updated as soon as I hooked it up and has been working great. The rest of the family loves it too since they no longer have to switch TV inputs to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime through the Roku.

My husband and I decided we were no longer going to be tied to Spectrum cable for our TV programming. We purchased an over the air antenna. We missed the convenience of having a program guide and the ability to record. This device solved those problems. The only down side would be that the sling app is not an option through tivo yet. Which means my husband can't record shows streamed through the sling app... ESPN is the number 1 channel we get through sling that we would like to record.

First be aware that TiVo will charge you $14.95/month on a 1 year contract just so you can use it. Nobody tells you this until you hook it up. I bought it so I could cut the cord with my cable company which failed for numerous reasons. Then went back to cable co. with the TiVo cable card and everything worked better but was still clumsy to work with, what with all of the different streaming services. Eventually renegotiated a deal with the cable co and trying to sell the TiVo on eBay.

The TiVo Bolt is the first TiVo to use 4K. There only dear drawback is I wish there were more tuners. The bolt comes with 4 tuners while ther are older version available with 8 tuners

Performance and responsiveness for menu navigations are faster than before. It is nice to see a crisp looking 4K output for on-screen menus. At this time, there are no true 4K video quality in over-the-air and cable TV shows, and they get upscaled with bit of "soft-looking" or "not-so-crisp-looking" for my 4K TV. This box can play 4K videos from online streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos and some more-- as long as your internet services provider can handle the bandwidth for your home, like constantly at least 25 Megabits per second.

    Great solution for whole-house DVR

Since Spectrum quit offering a whole-house DVR solution, I was looking to have a single DVR accessible from multiple rooms, I bought the Bolt and 2 TiVo minis. I had a little grief getting MoCA networking set up because my cable modem needed a filter in front of it, Once I got that in, they work extremely smoothly and all three rooms appear identical for DVR control. The Bolt will create a MoCA bridge to create MoCA networking if it's in the same location as your network router, which was very neat as well. Very happy!

So happy to have finally invested in a TiVo. Love that we are now able to record OTA programming. Setup was super easy to do, we had it out of the box and in use in less than 15 minutes.

This is a great replacement for your cable box DVR . It takes a little bit to get use to . For some reason the commercial skip doesn't work all the time and it is difficult to get the cable card to work with Spectrum . The tunning adapter is difficult and TiVo can't be used without the guide at $15 a month . The lifetime guide price is to much at $550 . If you don't mind all the hassle setting everything up it is fine but someone with no technical oomph don't buy .
