Little expensive to own, but the ability to watch what you want to watch without being constrained by when it is broadcast is really nice.

i’ve had the Tivo premiere series 2 forever but was having a technical issue that couldn’t be fixed so, decided to upgrade. loving the extra amount of space and just hoping this one lasts as long as my previous box!

Zero complaints. Easy to set up, live pause, record multiple shows, perfect picture. Not to mention the guide is excellent.

This Tivo has the best DVR interface I have used. The DVR's I have used from the cable company can not even come close to this product. The easiest interface plus the built in apps make it stand apart. The only thing I noticed is that the Video ON Demand channel from the cable company wont work and it seems to be very difficult for the cable company to get a working setup with CableCard and Tuning Adapter.

Had 3rd generation. This one is so much faster and the interface is a very nice up grade. Worth the buy!

I finally cut the cable and use my TIVO with over the air HD TV and a Hulu membership. I also have two Mini's for other TV's in the house and they work like a gem. I am saving $100's per month and have access to all the same content. Not sure why I didn't do this earlier. Setup was rather easy and when I did have questions support was awesome. One small gripe, the remotes are not radio (you must point directly at the mini).

Great DVR for OTA or cable. Nice that it has 4 tuners. Too bad TiVo subscriptions are not that cheap.

I love Tivo and the Bolt is like Tivo on Steriods !! Find any shows anywhere on the video web sources. I found things that I thought were not available on Digital anymore. Got some good laughs again from older shows and videos. Talk about finding shows on actors that you love. This is the easiest VDR to operate. I own two bolts, a mini and I am going to buy another Mini. Getting rid of my 4 older TiVo's. Tivo user for 18 years.

The picture quality is amazing! For that reason alone I recommend this box. I did end up returning due to misinformation by a Blue Shirt. I wanted to have multiple Bolts for 4K upscaling and was advised it would be 1 fee per month. Upon creating a TiVo account I learned that it would be multiple monthly fees for multiple Bolt boxes. The only way to avoid was to get the Minis.

Was looking for something to record over the air programs and this fits the bill. The service is $15 a month but think it's worth it. What I do like about it is you can play Netflix and MLB tv thru it. Also am able to stream live tv to my iPad late at night so I can watch tv in bed with head phones on and not disturb the household. Recommend untI'll the streaming services start offering live tv

I bought my first TiVo back in 2000. It was revolutionary. Later, as DVRs became commonplace and my TiVo no longer worked with DirecTV, I had to give it up. Now I'm testing the "cable-cutting" waters with an antenna and Free TV, so I decided to try TiVo again. This has to be their best effort yet! One thing I was looking for was a universal search. In addition to OTA programming, I have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and Plex. I wanted a way to search all these services at once for a movie or program and this TiVo can do just that. Another great OTA feature is the antenna signal strength monitor. I had installed my attic mount antenna and connected it to my TV to make sure I could receive OTA programming before I invested in a TiVo, but I was having to guess about how to point the antenna for the best signal. The TiVo Bolt has an antenna signal strength meter much like my DirecTV receiver has. I can put the receiver on a weak channel and it will emit a continuous tone. I can go into the attic and adjust my antenna while listening for a stronger tone and get the best signal possible. This is a great tool! Not only that, but the TiVo Bolt's OTA receiver seemed to be a little more effective than my 2014 model Samsung Plasma TV at pulling in borderline stations. Too sum up, if you think you want to cut the cable and try OTA, this is a great option. Especially if you also use streaming services!

We just got tired of paying over $100/mo for Direct TV. We had an antenna a few years back but disconnected it for some reason. Now we stream "cable" shows and watch free TV off air. This TiVo allows me to record my network programming in Hi Def and I love the commercial skip feature. Too bad it can't be used on all networks. I don't miss cable or Satellite and their high bills.

Been with cable/satellite forever but got too pricey. Was use to the convenience of those boxes though. The Bolt made the transition seamless. Gives me a guide and the recording options/convenience I had with the cable/satellite boxes. Simple to use. My only regret, I should have made the move sooner. IMHO, Bolt beats the Tablo and other similar DVR devices. Go for it!

Last time I had a TIVO was with a Premiere that I had three years ago. Since then, I haven't had cable. We moved and I decided to jump back with a new TIVO. This one does have some great features and I do enjoy the TIVO app for iOS that allows me to see content on my mobile devices. I also love the 4 tunners, as it allows me to now use a TIVO Mini. This price point typically had 2 tunners. TIVO Mini requires a TIVO host that has at least 4, so this is awesome. The software has been hit and miss though, as I've had issues scheduling OnePasses and them never recording. It is irritating to miss a show you thought was going to record. Everything I modify on the OnePass doesn't seem to fix it, so I have no idea. Overall though, I am glad I went back to TIVO, but will reevaluate whether it's worth it when the ONE YEAR commitment you signup for for buying this TIVO Bolt ends.

Been a TiVo subscriber for years. Glad this is 4k! Picture is super crisp.

This is my second TIVO BOLT. I replaced my set top box and use the Bolt to change channels. It also enables me to watch tv shows from either Bolt either transferring and watching shows. I can also save tv shows using Tivo Desktop. Such an improvement. The Bolt can either watch Over the air TV or Cable shows via internal cable card (from the cable supplier).

I had the Premiere model for several years and wanted a way for my mother to use Netflix that she could understand. The Premiere would do it but was painfully slow. The Bolt, despite being tiny next to the Premiere, is far, far faster along with several other notable improvements, such as an RF remote control that doesn't require line of sight to operate.

Works just as well as the old Tivos, with some new features. The remote changes took some getting used too.
