This powercord part in needed for a Bosch dishwasher.

I was replacing my dishwasher. Bosch and perhaps certain other dishwashers require an outlet to plug the dishwasher into. My old dishwasher was hard wired without a plug or outlet. Fo a Bosch dishwasher there are two options. Installation of a standard three prong outlet or the Bosch junction box, which includes a plug that connects to the dishwasher. This is definitely the cheaper alternative. I purchased the junction box separately from the dishwasher because at the time of my first purchase, I did not realize that I needed it. When the installers arrived I told them that I had purchased it in case they needed it and they replied that they did need it.

I can’t believe this didn’t cause a house fire. I purchased this dishwasher from Best Buy on June 1, 2019, and it was professionally installed by their team on July 2, 2019. Two days ago, it stopped working, with flashing lights and constant beeping. When we started investigating the issue, we discovered charred and melted materials inside the junction box. A little internet research revealed that quite a few other people have experienced this same issue. We’re incredibly lucky that this situation didn’t result in a house fire.

Dish washer came with a plug in cord but current setup would have required new electrical outlet and cord would not have been long enough anyways. This allowed for straight connection of electrical wire although could have allowed a little more room to attach the wiring.

This junction box adapter is crucial for a seamless installation allowing you to connect the dishwasher's wiring to existing house wiring instead of using a standard plug. The Installers used this Junction Box for an excellent install that is working perfectly.

Easy to use. I actually talked my sixteen year old kids through the process. Good learning experience. Much better than wiring in the front oft the dishwasher like other manufacturers require.

This Bosch - Powercord with Junction Box for Benchmark and Thermador Dishwashers for Hard-wired installation came with our new dishwasher, but we didnt need it. It appears to be good quality. Our dishwasher isnt hard wired so we didnt need this power cord. I will probably sell it on ebay or similar means. The Bosch dishwasher, however, is an awesome machine! Super quiet! and cleans dishes effectively. I couldnt believe how quiet it is. It actually sounds like it is raining outside. Lightly. Thats how quiet it is. We just love the new dishwasher!!! This power cord is probably just as awesome, but we didnt use it and dont need it. so we will never know.

When I first installed this - it would not run because the top controls are different than other dishwashers I owned - you need to set the controls with the door open - if the door is closed - nothing happens - as I did not have a user manual - the racks are very innovative. One of the main reasons I got this was the third rack. I can put heavily soiled pots in the middle rack and they out really clean. Some reviews I read before I purchased this - mentioned that there are food odors if the door is closed for a few days - I did not see any difference between this and other dishwashers I have owned

Perfectly suited for the Bosch dishwasher that was installed in my house. The unit has 4 wall mounting screws that makes the install look clean and uncluttered under the sink.

The BOSCH Powercord with junction box (which was supplied with our Bosch dishwasher) is a GREAT innovation from Bosch to simplify the dishwasher installation! Our old GE dishwasher was "hard-wired", and the installer was able to connect the powercable directly to the terminals of the Junction Box, close it back up, and then when the dishwasher was brought in for placing into it's space, the quick connect plug merely needed to be snapped in. In case of a problem that requires servicing of the dishwasher, power can be disconnected in a matter of a few seconds! GREAT product!

So far, so good. Original install had wires spliced and not even in a junction box with the bare greenfield wire loosely wrapped around some metal.. This product makes sure that electrical connections are proper.

This came with the Bosch dishwasher for free, which is one of the major reasons I purchased the dishwasher from Best Buy. It would have been $20 more everyplace else, and I needed this since the previous dishwasher was wired inline and not plugged in. I put the box under the sink instead of behind the dishwasher to make sure there was enough room to push the dishwasher as far back as we wanted. Was surprised it was a returned unit instead of new, but for free we couldn't complain. It didn't look used.

Dishwasher delivered and installed including wiring hookup. All done timely and professionally. Old machine removed and new one replaced it. Works flawlessly. Only issue was that it was brought to house with the front stainless steel panel damaged. Service delivery personnel probably should have noted that prior to installation. As it is dented, the panel and/or entire Bosch dishwasher needs remedy. Hopefully this can be resolved soon as appliances ordered last year

I need to use this junction box to install my Bosch dishwasher because my old dishwasher was hardwired and was not plugged into an outlet. I didn't need an electrician to install it. It was very easy to install because I watched youtube videos on how to install it. It's great that Best Buy included it for free with my dishwasher purchase.

Best Buy threw this in for free (a $20.00 retail extra) when I bought a Bosch Dishwasher. The cord included with the appliance was a standard 110 outlet grounded plug. My prior Dishwasher had a dedicated hard wire, so this saved me some electrical effort to install an outlet for the new machine. Works great and saved effort and available space under the counter

Handy Item to have for a Bosch Dishwasher install if you do not have outlets to plug into. Hardwire your electrical and plug into the appliance and presto all done!

The best way to do hard-wiring you need to drill a hole in to side of cabinet and attach Junction Box to the wall were a kitchen sink is located. Because you can't mount Junction box behind the dishwasher for one particular reason ( if you do, dishwasher will not align with front of cabinet. Btw, you need to drill a hole to accommodate insertion of power cord and hose from dishwasher as well.
