The Bosch-powercord is very much needed for your dishwasher to work properly, and the Best Buy professional can attach this during installation.

This came free with the dishwasher or I would never have thought to buy it. With the connector the dishwasher has it is critical that you can power through the cable. The dishwasher came with a cable that will plug into an outlet but I have never seen anything but a hard-wired dishwasher in my limited experience. The junction box on this cable is quite tall and thus could create an interference for the dishwasher if it installed in the wrong place. It does make installing and later pulling out the dishwasher easier but I don't know if this connector will become standard for all dishwashers. Maybe this in just a solution to a non-existent problem but it is basically required for this dishwasher and was free so it is worth it.

Although this item appears to be an extra, it is a great safety item used to connect power to the washer. Easy to connect. Peace of mind.

It is a junction box especially for Bosch applications and is needed because of the special power connection that bosch uses.

Our power cord works great and gives me peace of mind that our dishwasher is installed correctly.

It's a bit of a disappointment that the newer Bosch dishwashers cannot be hard wired. They come with a cord with a propriety connector on the dishwasher end and no provision for hard wiring. Bosch should include one of these Powercord junction boxes in the package! Having said that, the irritation continues. This junction box must not be installed behind the dishwasher (it is too large to fit on the floor, or up against the back wall of the dishwasher's cabinet). It must be installed in an adjacent cabinet. In my installation, the chord was too short to reach the dishwasher after installation in the adjacent cabinet! If the adjacent cabinet is to the right of the dishwasher, the cord would have reached. My adjacent cabinet was on the left! Solution, have an electrician install a wall receptacle on the back wall of the cabinet where the dishwasher is installed. After you do that, you get to return the Junction Box. Now as to the quality of this junction box, it is Bosch quality! and the lugs for the wires are solid and well made. It is a quality piece of gear and of course, the propriety plug that fits into the dishwasher works perfectly.

Handy Item to have for a Bosch Dishwasher install if you do not have outlets to plug into. Hardwire your electrical and plug into the appliance and presto all done!

This came with the Bosch dishwasher for free, which is one of the major reasons I purchased the dishwasher from Best Buy. It would have been $20 more everyplace else, and I needed this since the previous dishwasher was wired inline and not plugged in. I put the box under the sink instead of behind the dishwasher to make sure there was enough room to push the dishwasher as far back as we wanted. Was surprised it was a returned unit instead of new, but for free we couldn't complain. It didn't look used.

A much needed device for the dishwasher I would buy it again

The guys who installed the Bosch 300 dishwasher said this was the best powercord for the application. Also said it was much safer than the cord on my old dishwasher.

No issues at all - it's what I wanted! :D Electrical issues is the last thing I want - that's why I choose a quality device for my crib.

Supplied with the dishwasher as an add-on, but in the end, was not needed as a GCFI outlet was installed between delivery of the dishwasher and the final installation. A GFCI connection will make the install easier and eventual replacement easier, too. This is needed if you are doing a hardwired connection

This is a necessary product to install a bosch dishwasher. Once you have one of these you can reuse it for future model changes.

Powercord fit perfectly on the dishwasher. The quality of the cord was quite evident when comparing to my previous cord.

I guess I bought this? I suppose it's under my dishwasher doing something important. I guess it's working because my dishwasher is working right? You tell me. I've never seen it before and I was only vaguely aware that I bought it, because it was automatically added to my cart when I clicked the 'installation' button. Ok, I should stop writing reviews and get back to work now.

I teally really wsnt to love this dishwasher since it is a Bosch but so far after a couple of weeks im less then impressed. The internal size is considerably smaller, the fancy drying isnt good at nskibg sure anything is dry, and there is this weird flap at the bottom that becomes noticeable and disconnected looking when you open the door. Plus you are forced to buy a plug to have the dishwasher installed regardless of if you actually need that or not. Highly considering returning.

It's good. Really enjoy it. I would buy it agaain.
