Customer Ratings & Reviews

Have been using this once a week for a month and saw results after 3 weeks! Some areas need more frequent sessions if the hair is thicker. The sensor can be annoying when it’s not detecting contrast between the skin and hair follicle. I’m noticing it zaps a bit slower when I’m gliding, and the device is getting hot or if I’m using it at medium strength. Anticipate a session may take you slightly longer. Love the pouch it comes with; it’s super sleek. The regular head and additional precision head come in handy.

I’ve been using the Braun Silk·expert Pro 5 once a week and I’m currently on my 4th session. I can already see a difference in my underarm hair growth. The hair is starting to look less dense and more uneven compared with my first session, and some areas seem to be growing back more slowly. The device is very easy to use, and I really like the skin tone sensor and the precision head for smaller areas. I attached photos from my first session and my 4th session to show my progress so far. I know it takes more time to see the full results, but so far I’m very happy with it and I’m excited to keep using it.

It really works ! It is fast and doesn’t hurt, I love it .

This product works 100% well in certain areas of my body. For me was under my armpit and legs and top bikini area. I haven’t needed or used lasers since I bought this 2 years ago.

Results after just one use on legs and underarms. However, 4 weeks in and the not so much change on the face region.

I have only been able to use this for about 3 weeks, but I have already noticed a massive difference!!!

I like it but expensive. Good after move hair good

It actually works. It takes time but my hair is noticeably my thinner

Great product! High quality! Plugs in which is awesome. Don't have to recharge the thing or keep up with chargers. Bought it for hair removal AND to see if it lightens spider veins!

I bought like a gift for my wife, but completely satisfied me

Light skin and dark hair is where it’s at. Unfortunately I don’t have dark hair. But I have seen some improvement.

Better than going to the spa. I'm serious! I payed for a few expensive sessions a few years ago, but could not finish the whole treatment at the time. It did decrease the amount of hair a little but since it's been a few years, I noticed it started to come back. I bought this device and WOW. Here are the reasons why I prefer this to the spa. 1. Much cheaper 2. I can control how much discomfort I feel (it was painful at the spa because they wanted the treatment to work faster, so the session was way more intense). 3. If you are doing private parts nobody need to mind your business. 4. You can do it once a week. At the spa, you can only do it once a month which I think it took longer for me to see results. 5. Once you're hair free, eventually it will start to grow again a little bit after a few months. Now you can do the maintenance at home rather than paying more money going to the spa again. PS: I bought a cheap one on Amazon that I had to return. It actually started to make my hair grow faster, and it is not a joke. There were a bunch of positive results, but it didn't work for me. I decided to buy something safer, and this product has done the job with excellence. I'm on my 8th week, and the results are incredible. I can't wait to be hair free in a few more weeks. Also, I did buy it on sale, but I still think it's worth the regular price.

I had been eyeing this IPL product but the price held me back. It was on a really good sale price when I purchased it. I am glad that I did!!! I’ve used it 3x and already see significantly smoother legs and no sideburns. It’s so easy to use. Just a slight sting when it flashes—doesn’t last.

I've been using the Pro5 for a few weeks now, and while it's not a miracle overnight fix, I can already see some early signs of progress. Hair seems to be growing back a bit finer and slower in the treated areas, so that’s encouraging. The process itself isn’t really painful; more like a warm snap, but I’d definitely recommend starting on the lower intensity levels until your skin adjusts. It's manageable, but you don’t want to overdo it at the start. One thing I didn’t expect was how bright the flashes are. I’d strongly suggest wearing protective glasses even though Braun doesn’t make them mandatory. After a few zaps, I noticed the brightness was a bit much for the eyes, especially in lower-light settings. Overall, it’s a solid device, but be patient and consistent. Don’t go overboard trying to speed up the process; you’ll just irritate your skin. Stick to the recommended schedule, take your time, and you should start seeing subtle but real results.

Excellent purchase! From the very first session, I noticed a big reduction in hair growth. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t hurt — you only feel a slight warmth. After a few weeks, the hair grows back thinner and in much smaller amounts. I also love that I can do it at home and save money on appointments. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and effective hair removal solution. Totally worth it!

The Braun Pro5 PL5147 Women's IPL Hair Removal Kit in White-Gold has been a game-changer in my beauty routine. Its IPL technology has remarkably reduced hair growth, leaving my skin smoother for longer periods. The device is easy to use, featuring an ergonomic design and user-friendly controls. The attachments and settings allow for precision in various body areas, making it a comprehensive solution. The device operates at a comfortable speed, providing a quick and efficient hair removal process without compromising results. The build quality is impressive, and it feels durable in hand. The cordless design enhances convenience, and the battery life is sufficient for multiple sessions. While the price might be a bit steep, the results and the overall quality justify the investment. Customer reviews echoed my positive experience, with many praising its effectiveness and ease of use. Overall, the Braun Pro5 PL5147 is a top-tier IPL hair removal solution, offering a blend of efficiency, safety, and convenience that makes it well worth considering for anyone seeking long-term hair reduction.

I purchased the Braun Pro5 IPL device mainly for use on my legs and face. I started out using it 2x/week and noticed great results on my face within 2-3 uses. The hair growth has greatly decreased and I’m already at 1 touchup a week. I’ve been a little less consistent on my legs, but the few times I have used the device have made a difference in growth. The continuous running feature makes it so easy to use on larger areas like the legs. This is definitely worth every dollar if you want professional results in the comfort of your home for a small fraction of the cost at professional laser salons.

I purchased this for my wife and myself to try using and the results have come surprisingly fast. I have relatively coarse, thick body hair so I was expecting results to take the full 8 week treatment period. To my surprise, however, I am already seeing a slow in growth after only 4 treatments. My wife is having even better results.

I’ve been using the Braun IPL for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed. It’s super easy to use—very straightforward instructions and not intimidating at all. I’ve already noticed slower hair regrowth in some areas, which is exciting. It’s also not as expensive as I expected for an at-home IPL device, and definitely feels like a practical long-term investment. So far, so good!

I’ve only had this for about a month but I already can tell a difference on my face and underarms. Being consistent is going to help things go a lot faster. Definitely recommend if you have embarrassing unwanted hair. Super fast and easy to use. Not very painful either except for delicate areas.
