I have always used cheap electric razors that you can get such as Remington and other less known brands. This razor by far was much more impressive and efficient. It gives a nice clean shave and has mechanics that allow to shave in tough places such as under the nose. It also comes with a near charge and clean station that just allows you to put the shaver on the dock and it immediately starts charging. Don’t be afraid to spend up for one of these. It’s well worth it.

I bought this shaver for my son. This is his first shaver, and I wanted him to have a quality product and as well as one that did not give him razor burn or cut him while shaving. So far the product has been great. I also love the fact that he can shave either wet or dry and I love that it has the self cleaning stand. I don't have to worry that he didn't clean his shaver properly. Great product!

The Braun series 5 does a good job of getting a close shave. The features that i like is that it comes with a cradle for automatic charging and cleaning.

I had an older 5000 series Braun shaver- it was getting harder to find parts & the shaves were just so-so, even with a new blade & foil. This shaver gives an excellent shave in less time than my old Braun. More shaves on one charge too, but that may have been due to an older battery. The combo charging & cleaning station is a good feature too. Worth the money.

The new cartridge design which replaces both the foil and blades at the same time, provides for the closest to a razor shave that I have ever experienced. The shaver can be used wet or dry, and is easily cleaned under running tap water, or even better in the included charge base with Braun fluid. The only disadvantage I see might be the replacement cost for the 1 piece foil blade combination unit.

Good clean cut....easily charged... easy to use and charge

My last razor was a Braun Series 5 and it lasted 7 year. It still operates, but I saw this one was a good deal and decided to update. I am extremely happy that I did. I routinely change the blades, but it had been about 18 months since the last change (on my old razor). I realize now how great the new razor operates in comparison. The blades, screen, and technology have improved and the new razor cuts better than I remember the old one cutting even when it was new. I also have sensitive skin so often when I switch razors, I end up with razor bumps. This has been an easy transition and no issues thus far. Overall, I am extremely happy with the new razor and look forward to using it (hopefully) as long as my last Braun razor.

This was a replacement for an older model in which the batteries died. It was possible to replace the batteries but I figured that improvements had been made in the past 10 years. Yes! Smoother and closer shave and easy to use. Has the same cleaning method, which is a big plus.

Great electric shaver , shaved close and does not irritate my skin. I really love the recharging station. It also keeps a charge for a long period of time.

My husband has always used rotary type shavers but decided to try this one on a whim. He couldn't be happier with it. He gets a closer shave with this razor with less irritation. He says the only difference is that every once in awhile a hair will pull causing pain but it is a much closer shave than the rotary so he is ok with it. The clean and charge station is a huge plus because it cleans and lubricates the razor each time and gets it back to like new condition. It should last longer this way. It is also more hygienic than just rinsing. Overall he is a Braun convert and is very happy with this razor.

shaves real nice, easy to clean, battery lasts a long time

Couldn't be more happier, this Shaver has been used for about 2 months and has yet to need to be charged Again. I use it daily due to me traveling into different Plants on a day to day basis. A plus Product in my book. Highly recommend buing one.

When I made the decision to go from blade shaving to electric, I tried several brands. The last one was. Norelco, and it left me feeling like I hadn’t shaved. I decided to read about The different Braun series shavers. The series 5 had great reviews and a very good price so I decided to try it. To my surprise, I got a very close shave with very little effort. I’m so glad I didn’t give up the search for a great electric because I found in the Braun 5 series.

The price is affordable compared to other Braun series for the same work. The battery is great, I have used for about 3 weeks now still haven't have to recharged. I liked it because it gave you a travel bag for you to bring it along to your long trip. I am going to upgrade to the Braun Series 7 in a few years once this Braun series 5 worn out.

Got this on a sale. I figure what the heck, I'd check it out. I normally dry shave every day which is know is not the greatest thing. Been doing it for over 20 plus years. I will be the first to admit that I have not had any nice shavers in the past. I've bought some really cheap ones before that would fall apart in a few months.. So far, this feels steady and comfortable in my hand. I still dry shave but the shave is close and it doesn't look rough like a razor dry shave. I hope I said it right. So far I'm very please with it. It does take me a little longer to shave when compared to a razor, especially around the area above the adam's apple. With the cost, I expect it to last a long while. Hopefully a year from now, I won't regret the purchase.

This is a great electric shaver. It is smooth, quiet, and gives a great shave. The self cleaning kit works very well. My previous Braun lasted for years.

I got this Braun shaver series 5 for fathers day and it works much better than my old series 3 shaver. Easy to use and a very smooth close shave.

My wife bought me a Braun electric razor over a decade ago. Very pleased with it. Only recently did the rechargeable battery stopped working. No problem I had an electric plug for it so I could continue to use it but then shortly thereafter the on/off switch broke. Ten years enough for me I wanted another Braun. Hence this one I just bought the Series 5 Electric Shaver. Very happy with it.

I bought this to replace a seven year old Series 5 shaver. New shaver is way nicer than previous models. A bit pricey, but if you can afford it, you won’t regret it.
