A little expensive but worth the money. The last all-in-one printer I purchased was only $250.

Awful printer

For starters, I HATE this printer. I did not buy from Best Buy, so this is not a criticism of BB. Mine is a personal home printer, and if I had bought it for use in an office, I would be furious. Every time I send something to print, I feel lucky if it will print at all. This morning, my grandson needed to print a document for a college class and it was torture getting it to print (message kept saying it was "waiting" - for what, I don't know.) I often get an "print error" message on my computer, and by the time I'm on my way to check the printer, it begins printing anyway. When trying to print a 2-sided pdf document, it gives me separate pdf pages instead, and if you don't have a full version of Adobe to combine them, that is useless. I've tried everything to print envelopes according to directionos, and find it impossible. There are too many issues to list them all, but unless you have a personal IT department, this printer is a frustration.
I wish I had chosen an HP instead and am considering buying an inexpensive ink jet as a backup.

Great printer. A bit noisy. I don't want to have to click the paper size as often as I've had to.

DOES NOT SCAN 2-SIDED! WASTED $400! :-(

I purchased this printer so I could to do everything scan 2-sided, 1 sided, fax, print etc... I have so many 2-sided documents that needs to be scanned. My little $50 inkjet scanner (that has this feature) just isn't fast enough and doing the job. So this was the main reason why I purchased this printer to scan 2 -sided/duplex scans/copies etc. I spent hours to figure how to scan a 2 sided document using the automatic feeder which what supposed to automictically scan both sides according to the BestBuy's description at time of purchase.
Finally, I found another person having the same problem on Canon's website. I spent over $400.00 on a printer that doesn't do what I needed it to! I am so disappointed with Best Buy for not accurately advertising this and Canon for not making it clear on their product box or manual. In this day and age this simple technology should be standard especially on something in this price range and caliber. I can't return this as now I am past the 14 -30 day return window...I am soooo disappointed!

Does not do what they advertise

I bought this only because of the duplex scan and copy as per description, Canon's website and online manuals and advertising. It does not. When I could not duplex copy or scan, I called tech support and was told, oh yes it does not do that. When I mentioned that they promote it as doing so, I was told that several of their machines of this type don't.
I then spent two days, on hold for over 4 hours with Canon only to be told even though we advertise it does something that it doesn't, to bad. We are not going to do anything for you.

Prints okay, when it can be found on the network

When the printer can actually be found on the network, it prints okay. Almost every time I need to print, the printer can't be found on the network. Have to remove and re-add it all over again. And that's only if it can be found on the network to begin with. It's garbage.
