Great product and reasonably priced. Has a sturdy design, easy to install, and setup was a breeze. App works well and gives you quick updates on your garage door status. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a simple, and useful smart home upgrade.

I have long desired to be able to open and more importantly close my garage door when I am not at home. I did not want to spend the money to purchase a wifi enabled garage door opener, and I really did not want to have to remove the old and install the new opener. I was looking at the Deal of the Day on the Best Buy app, and saw this Chamberlain myQ Smart Garage Controller. I thought to myself if only...If only I had a Chamberlain. But, I still had to look at it and drool. To my amazement, it says that it would work with most non-wifi connected garage door openers. Could it be? I have a Genie, is it on the list of openers this will integrate with? It was! Poof, I was off to Best Buy. It was in stock, it was on sale, it was mine! Activation and installation could not have been easier, in just a few minutes, all was done and working. Now I can open AND CLOSE my garage from anywhere. The accompanying app also informs me when I leave the door open. Amazon also automatically knew that I installed this and offered "Amazon Key" a way to receive deliveries in my garage. I could not be more thrilled with this modestly priced, easy to install and actuate device.

As a family, we needed an option for all of us to have reliable access to the garage if keys or openers were lost. I saw this option online and ordered it from Best Buy. I thought install was going to be difficult but it was so much easier than I thought. I was able to install and get it working in short order with no hiccups. The app is straight forward and reliable. I can control access and see who opens the garage and when. Also came in handy when my hvac company had a cancellation and wanted to work on my ac when no one was home. I was able to open the garage door from my office 35 miles away. Definitely recommend it if you need this type of access.

This has saved me so much headache. It was easy to set up and I love that I can I open my garage whenever I need to with my phone. I don’t need to keep changing remote control batteries. That’s a thing of the past. I like that it sends me push notifications when someone is in my garage. The list goes on and on. Oh and because I’m a nerd. I paired this with an NFC tag to launch the app faster when I need it.

The MyQ is absolutely great and works fabulously in our garage and the features are tremendous....we have a Tesla and it is programmed to open when we are ready to leave and when we return, the garage doors opens automatically ....really nice feature...

This product is excellent, it has a very good price for all its functionality, it is very easy to install and works wonderfully. You can open and close your garage from anywhere using the app.

This was an easy-to-install, nearly instant upgrade to make an old garage door opener new again. While the strobe and siren were initially a surprising feature, it makes sense as an alert feature if one considers a parent unknowingly closing a garage door from an alternate location while children are playing nearby. One thing that I wish was a capability of this unit was adding it to HomeKit - right in the app it shows that it recognizes my HomeKit Home, but it is not addable. Maybe someone else figured that out. Another head scratcher (in a good way) is that this is about $20 - a wifi enabled, smart product - while a standalone remote opener that you clip to your car's visor is usually more. I can't understand why that is, but it is another reason to just go ahead and purchase this kit

When it works, you can't beat the convenience for the price point. It's easy to install and to get up and running. Unfortunately, my device stopped working about a year after purchase. After receiving a firmware update, it began randomly disconnecting from my network, forcing me to powercycle the device to reconnect to the network. This was very inconvenient when traveling and expecting deliveries. There are much better, more stable solutions out there. I replaced with Meross over a year ago and it's 10x more reliable and responsive.

Geek Squad installed two Chamberlain - myQ Garage Door Control devices in newly purchased home. The install process took longer than expected due to apparent connectivity issues. The Geek Squad technician successfully completed the install, including the proper location and mounting of the hardware devices. Both garage doors operate properly via remote activation through the myQ app and Open/Closed status is continuously available.

THE KEY PAD TO ENTER CODE TO GAIN ACCESS TO MY GARAGE DIED. I WAS READY TO REPLACE IT AND THE I SAW THE MYQ SMART GARAGE CONTROL. LIKE ALMOST EVERYONE I HAD A BASIC GARAGE DOOR OPENER "NOTHING SMART ABOUT IT". ALSO LIKE ALMOST EVERYONE I HAVE A CELL PHONE THAT IS ALWAYS WITH ME. AFTER INSTALLING THE MYQ NOW I CAN ACCESS MY GARAGE DOOR STATUS (OPEN/CLOSED) FROM ANYWHERE. YOU CAN OPEN OR CLOSE IF NEEDED EVEN IF YOUR NOT THERE. WE HAVE ALL DONE IT, LEFT THE HOUSE ... DOWNTHE ROAD AND THEN IT HITS YOU DID I CLOSE THE GARAGE DOOR? NO NEED TO GO BACK YOU CAN CHECK THE STATUS FROM YOUR PHONE AND CLOSE IT IF NEEDED. YOU CAN SET UP A TIME TO CLOSE THE DOOR AT A PRE SET TIME ONE TIME OR DAILY, NO MORE OPEN GARAGE DOOR ALL NIGHT LONG! IT LETS YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS OPENED OR CLOSED BY SOMEONE ELSE AND IT KEEPS A LOG OF ALL DOOR ACTIVITY. THE BEST PART IS THAT IT WAS CHEAPER THAN IF I BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL KEY PAD THAT LITERALLY HAD ONE MANUALLY FUNCTION ENTER CODE TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE DOOR. THE INSTALL AND SETUP WAS AS SIMPLE AS SIMPLE GETS. IT HAS OTHER FUNCTIONS AND ALSO WORKS WITH AMAZOM DELIVERIES IF YOU HAVE "PRIME" THEY GET A CODE UPON ARRIVAL AND CAN PLACE YOUR ORDER IN THE GARAGE AND THEN CLOSE THE DOOR SO YOUR ORDER IS SAFE FROM "PORCH PIRATES" AND IT IS ALL LOGGED ON YOUR APP! I LOVE THE MYQ CONTROL AND IT IS WORTH EVERY CENT!

That dream is deader than my New Year's resolutions by February. And oh boy, let me tell you about the sneaky marketing. The initial kit comes with ONE sensor. ONE. Because apparently, garage doors are like Pringles - you can't have just one. Want more? That'll be an extra $29.98 per sensor, thank you very much. But wait, there's more! Want a camera to go with that? That'll be another $140. Because nothing says "peace of mind" like watching your garage door open and close in glorious HD. It's like pay-per-view, but for your car's home. And don't even think about using a different brand of camera. Oh no, that would be too simple. You need the My Q recommended camera, or you'll end up with more apps than friends on your phone. In conclusion, if you've ever wanted to feel like a secret agent, but only in your driveway, this is the gadget for you! It's perfect for those who love convenience, don't mind a few extra apps, and have always dreamed of being the lord of their garage kingdom. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility... and a slightly lighter wallet. So go ahead, buy the My Q. Transform your garage into a high-tech fortress. Just don't be surprised when you find yourself talking to your garage door like it's KITT from Knight Rider. Because let's face it, that's the closest you're getting to "Alexa, open garage door one."

Very simple and low cost device and it works as designed with our over 12 year old Chamberlain opener. As for installation, it was a snap! It took longer to get my drill out and mount the main MyQ device on the wall than it did to program the thing! Very easy as long as you have a good wifi signal, and we do. That being said, I was surprised you cannot set an auto close time delay with the unit. By this I mean, if you accidentally leave the door open, it would be nice to have it close by itself after 10 or 15 minutes or so. MyQ does allow you to set a time for the door to close, and there doesn’t seem to be any restrictions on this feature; but let’s say you have it set to automatically close the door at 11pm, and you leave the house at 7:30am and forget to close the door? That’s a very long time to have your garage wide open! Keeping in mind, this device only costs $30, so maybe I am expecting too much? Anyway, it’s working fine, doing what it’s supposed to do so I am happy so far. If only it would allow an auto close after a preset time, it would be absolutely perfect!

This device changed my life. I now feel comfortable that I can close my garage from anywhere. I used to leave the house not knowing if I closed the garage door behind me. Now that has changed. There are other great features i.e. Amazon Key, user option and more. MyQ is affordable and convenient.

Excellent product thats priced right, easy to use and easy to install. If you have a garage opener this is an extra that you should consider adding . The installation process is is easy to follow and took just minutes to install. Highly recommend! Before you purchase just make sure it’s compatible to your garage door opener.

Had a heck of a time getting this set up even though it was compatible with my garage door opener. Long story short, I had to remove the lightbulb from the motor in order for this to pair. I'm guessing there were some sort of interference but it took me hours to troubleshoot that. Other than that, it has worked flawlessly.

I was going to buy a new "Smart" garage opener because of wifi compatibility to open and close remotely features. In case I had to open the garage for my neighbor, to have the delivery person put packages in my garage or to close the door if I forgot to close when rushing to work. I can look on my app to see if door is open or closed. I even get a notification whenever the door opens or closes. The best part is, instead of paying $350+ for a new unit, this cost me around $35+. I didn't even have a Chamberlain opener. Mine was a Genie unit. It adapts to any opener.

I love my Chamberlain myQ Smart Garage Control. It's one of the best investments I've ever made for my home. I used to worry about whether I had closed my garage door when I left for work or ran errands. Now, I can check the status of my garage door from anywhere in the world using the myQ app on my phone. I can also open and close my garage door remotely, which is great for when I'm expecting deliveries or need to let someone into my home while I'm not there. This thing is wonderful! I have the app which makes it super easy to open, close or check the status remotely from any where. I get a notification when the door is opened or closed, makes me feel safe. When using the app to close it has the strobe and alarm to notify of the door closing.
