I just bought this gaming computer for my son few days ago. So far he is so happy with the performance and quality. I saw couple of comments on reviews about the power supply that needs to be upgraded. Just to make sure I’m taking all the precautions, I will take it to Geek Squad and ask their opinion. Thank God! I already have purchased protection plan for it. I also did a lot research about building a new gaming computer from scratch, but this purchase worth your time and money.

I've always built my own gaming rigs over the years and was thinking to do the same year with a AMD 3700X plus RX 5700XT. However, the parts alone with Win10 license comes out easily to $900+ depending on brands. For $999 special price, this is a no brainer. Mine came shipped with internal expanding foam, etc so case was extremely well protected inside. Both the system board and GPU are branded (Asus Wifi motherboard and XFX 5700XT). Plethora of rgb lighting , however not on the ram (no bigger for me). The 1TB SSD drives make the system boot up in 5 secs flat! I'll be adding a second 1TB later (mobo has extra sata slots). Now the main thing and what people are buying this for...in Modern Warfare, I can get 100fps at 1440p on my 32" Acer monitor with high/med game settings. With the new AMD drivers, the 5700XT maintains the cpu/gpu temps on par. I upgraded from a older amd based system with 2700X/RX 580GB and it was rock solid for 1080p games, however, it struggled at 1440p. With this rig, 1440p is fluid. Really no complaints at all. Quality cable management, branded components and very secured shipping/delivery make me a happy camper (no pun intended1). I'd highly recommend this, especially at the current $999 sale price.

From the cable management front and rear to the overall setup this was a perfect experience. It needed little updating. I had zero issues during setup. It runs cool and near quiet. I did undervolt the 5700 XT since they all come with too much power going to them. 1930mhz abs 1030mv was the sweet spot in the Radeon software. Overall I’d say if I were building this myself I would have chosen the same parts. The Crucial memory also ran at its advertised latency after a bios update.

This PC is lightning fast. It does have some bugs which I’m trying to work out. Every now and then while playing COD the computer will randomly restart or crash and usually it’s a graphics issue. I had to turned down the FPS but it will still happen every know and then. Contacted support about it, they said to update the drivers which I did but didn’t completely fix the issue, will have to contact them again.

2 month review here. So far so good. I do plan on adding more fans as the card does run hot compared to most as even stated by AMD. My only issue so far was when I first received my package. Box looked great, no dents or damage. Opened to see a good scratch on the case itself, as well as a broken mouse. I am not mad the mouse was broken, but a part that is included should have been good to go considering this a ready-built PC. So check the case for scratches just in case. Wiring on back of case could have been cleaner to be honest. I did send CyberPower a picture of the broken mouse and the scratched case and they couldn't help me because I had not registered my product. Now I have some time to do so and also put up this review. Your move CyberPower.

Bought this PC on Black Friday for 999.99. I will be upgrading some parts soon, but this is definitely a good foot in the door. Plays all the games I own with no issues even on ultra. I saw a lot of reviews saying that the GPU runs hot. This is actually within spec for this GPU, but with the included Radeon software you can easily change the fan curve to suit your preferences. There is also room for three 120mm fans along the top of the case, doing this can also reduce the heat. Just because the GPU is spec'd for this amount of heat doesn't mean you can't damage other components with it! The shipping packaging could have been a whole lot better. My front tempered glass panel came shattered from shipping. I could have returned it but frankly, that was too much hassle. I am, however, currently talking with CyberPower customer service to send me a replacement panel. On the bright side though, more airflow!

This pre built was recommended to me through reddit and I was skeptical at first. Now that I’ve used it for a couple weeks, I’m glad I made the purchase. The only disappointment I had, was in the rgb stock fans. You can definitely see how cheap they are on the color changing settings (it’s not so bad if its a solid color). If you want quality rgb fans, you’re going to have to buy them. Overall though, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to build a computer but wants the best bang for their buck while having high performance in almost every game.

Absolutely love this PC! Did some research and it's priced about where it would be if you got the parts separately, so price is good! I've been able to run big games like Rainbow 6 Seige or Onward (A VR) smooth and without issues. If you're thinking about buying it, I couldn't recommend it more!

Great hardware for the price. One the low end of price for a gaming system but mid to high level hardware. Benchmark tests show this to be an above average machine. CPU is liquid cooled and it is ready to go out of the box. I would recommend that you open both panels prior to use and check the cables to make sure they are seated well. The SSD is sticky taped onto the case. This should be find but make sure it is well seated. There are 3 Display Ports, not just 2 (in addition to an HDMI port). Has at least 2 3.5" open bays for HHD. Plenty of power connections from power supply. 2 open slots to add RAM memory (2x8GB slots are used). Mouse is not programmable (it is not the Pro version) but you can use X-Mouse Button Control app to program two out of the three side buttons (don't program the middle as that is the left mouse button). Top buttons on the mouse control DPI (setting is represented by color of LED when pressed).

Returned Alienware R9 took a chance...

I just returned an Alienware before I purchased this CyberpowerPC. I was kinda nervous even considering the mostly favorable reviews. Because after owning an AW, felt I'd be downgrading considerably. I haven't gamed yet as I just got it today and I'm still tweaking, So far from what I can tell after 8 just hours is it's incredibly fast. It's on par with AW. The AW had many weird issues. One that I tried for two days to correct is the AW wouldn't auto sleep no mater what was done. Dell remote assisted after I tried all day to search through Google to find a fix. Dell wasn't able to figure it out either. It's a very common issue probably having something to do with the AW experience software. For the cost I wasn't having it. I did get the XFX G-card :( but I don't plan on gaming exclusively with this pc so no big deal. I highly recommend this pc. I'm 45 and not new to computers. The build quality is much better than I anticipated and the cooling seems adequate, if you don't want to build your own due to time constraints then this is the ticket.

Great specs / terrible GPU and PSU

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Let’s start with the good. It is a good-looking system, the case is great and has lots of room, cooling is decent but may be prone to failure. The CPU is obviously the best bang for the buck in existence at the moment. The cpu is even cooled well enough with a 120mm aio oem cooler made by cooler master. The cooler in question is a MASTERLIQUID ML120L RGB. Not the best but still better than any air cooler you will be getting on systems of this price point. My build came with an Asus PRIME B550M-A (WI-FI) which is a very decent entry level motherboard and has very good intel ax200 wifi on it. The ram is kind of crappy and does not run at rated speed out of the box because docp is not enabled. If you have the Asus board you will need to download the latest bios from Asus and then enable DOCP to get rated speeds of the ram. This may void the warranty of the system though as XMP / DOCP is technically overclocking but you should be fine in terms of not killing anything. Shame on Cyberpower pc for advertising the ram at a speed and not actually enabling that speed. It is very important to have fast ram with decent timings on AMD Ryzen platform. Anyway, so far you can fix this issue pretty easily so not too bad yet. The other positives are the overall build is pretty good. Nothing over tightened, nothing glued down, everything in proper place, all screws in place and used, no major scuffs on the outer case. Also the SSD on my system was a decent WD sn550 1TB nvme drive. It has no dram cache but is not really an issue on this system and performs well enough as they made one of the first dram free drives on the market that does not suck. BTW in the image I submitted of the system I added a top exhaust fan as the gpu was very very hot, more on that later. So let’s talk about the bad things that make this a no buy for even the low price point. The first major issue is the absolutory terrible power supply they use. This is a Apevia Prestige Power 800w 80+ Gold PSU. The fan runs very loud and with no speed control. This is also a rifle bearing fan so I see it not lasting very long at full speed. Also looking through the holes I see lots of crappy Chinese made capacitors. Even though the OEM of the supply which is Andyson, it is some cost reduced version that uses crappy caps vs the better supplies they make. The Reason I returned the system however is the GPU. So many people may think the GPU in the system with an XFX is the thicc 2 but it is not. It is a new model, that being the RX-57XT82LD6. This is the 5700XT with double dissipation. The cooling is even worse than the thicc. The cooler was designed for a 5700 non xt but they put it on the xt. You can tell since it only uses 2 slots instead of 2.75. It also ships with a bios that is set to the stock 180 watts out of the box to be as quiet as possible. Both bios are the same with same exact fan profiles so you will need to flash a bios from a better card or just manually raise the power limits. The issue is at 180 watts the card does not go much beyond the 1605mhz base clock and the card actually performs worse than most 5700 non xt models on the market. This could be bad silicon as well since it is a budget card with bad cooling. To get it go as fast as a normal 5700xt you need to raise the power limit by about 25% which makes the card run very hot and noisy. This may not apply if your systems comes with the older thicc 2 (which is still bad but not as bad) or the asrock card that some people are showing in images. Anyway, buyer beware. Honestly just build a system if you can or hope you get one with a better gpu. Almost forgot to mention the fans. So all the fans look really cool but they are really low end rifle bearing fans with very limited life spans, like the one in the power supply.

I purchased this for my personal workstation. This is the second cyberpowerpc we have in this house. I got one for my son exactly a year ago and I was impressed by its sheer speed and power. Booting fom an ssd has its perks. Also seeing him play games on max settings with ridiculous framerates impressed me a lot. I knew exactly what I was getting into. Overall this is what I had expected, easy setup, 4 video inputs (1 hdmi, three display ports). The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the top of the tower. There is a mesh like cage instead of a full enclosure. I'm more than sure this is for more air to circulate, or maybe for the cool look. But this is an opening that can be a problem if any liquid gets on the top and drips in to the internals. Never happened before but I do have kids. Now I have to re-adjust my workstation with this in consideration. Outside of this concern, this should last me for the next 5-8 years.

    GET LOW-PROFILE DISPLAY PORT CABLE!!!!

Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

TL;DR -- you need low-profile cables to connect to display ports (DP or HDMI) on graphics card bc there's low clearance b/w the case and the ports. I spent 4+ troubleshooting; reinstalling drivers, update windows, calling supports, etc...I had 3 diff DP cables on hand and trying them on all 3 diff ports. *i called support before figuring it out and they told me to return it and get a new one lol... ------------------------------------------------------- Overall, I believe the quality of the desktop is superb for the price. Definitely worth the money buying the system. One thing to note, a lot of display port cables will not work with the case along this model because the ports are too close to the frame. Therefore, most of the cables will not fit bc there isn't enough clearance room. I tried 3 diff DP cables in all 3 diff ports (i had a Radeon 5700xt), and it did not work. I ordered a new DP cable with lower profile to fit the port and viola...it worked. crazy. i did 4+ hours of troubleshooting of reinstalling graphics card drivers, updating windows 10, reseating the graphics card from the same slot, and so much. At long last, i reseated the graphics card on the second PCI slot and the display ports worked. which meant the graphics card was fine and the cables were fine. My conclusion was that the adjustment from the poor clearance from the frame of the case and putting the thick cable into the ports of the graphics card made an angle where it wouldn't read. Side note - the keyboard and mice included with my model is subpar. I'm getting a new keyboard and mouse. The keyboard's spacebar has a metal squeak if you're typing too fast... #cries I'm spoiled from Logitech's Hyper-scroll...so I can't use the included mouse since it doesn't have the hyper scroll...

I bought this computer from Best Buy because it was a great deal to get an RX 5700 xt. When I got it, I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality. The parts are all high quality name brand parts and can be upgraded in the future. The cable management was great. The aesthetics were great with the RGB fans and matching AIO cpu cooler. It is Asrock's lower end rx 5700xt challenger, but a great deal for the price. It scored well on the Firestrike benchmarks I performed My one complaint on the build would be that they did not use the argb header on the motherboard, and I would need to buy a new argb hub if I cared about controlling the colors from the motherboard. Overall, great build.
