This is an amazing sound for such a diminutive sound bar. It was just what we were looking for. I only wish it didn't need the sub! But I understand. Keep working on stuffing the base into the bar and you'll get 5 stars from me.

Great sound from this sound bar. Paired it with some polk wifi speakers for rear surround sound. Works well, but the set-up is little frustrating as you need to reconfigure them everytime you flip back and forth between the surround sound mode and music listening mode. Would really like my xfinity remote to control the sound level coming out of the sound bar, but Definitive Tech remote properties were not included in the options with the xfinity remote setup. probably more of a knock on the xfinity remote however.

We purchased another sound bar before going back and getting the Definitive Technology product. Huge difference in how and what we could hear. Very happy with this product.

I paired the Definitive Micro with two W7 speakers. When all are working together, they sound phenomenal. I can hear little things that you just can't hear with basic tv sound or lesser soundbar sound. The remote is very simple and easy to use and adapts to the sound via optical wire. If you buy this without additional speakers, this is a very nice soundbar and you will be happy with it, although I would recommend paying the extra $100 for the larger version. Pairing it with the two W7 speakers is a challenge and takes a decent amount of time to set up. That would be fine if that was all you had to do. I bought the system to (a) have soundbar & surround sound and (b) listen to music together and multi-room. Problem is that if you switch from surround to speaker pairs, you must go to your Play-Fi app and delete the pairing from one then start the pairing for the other...they don't simply just play whatever after they are paired in surround and/or speaker groups. Also, this system is having conflict with Apple, so if you are an Apple Music subscriber like myself, about half your music library is not compatible with this system. I called tech support in regards to both of these issues and there was no work around. I will say though, that their tech support was fantastic. Just wish I didn't have to call them five different times! So, overall, great sound, but difficult to easily utilize all of its features.

Bought this on Black Friday. Sound quality is excellent but the only problem is setting up this is really annoying. App has lot of bugs. When ever I open the app my sound bar loosing power. I don’t understand what’s the problem was. For sure they have to improve their app. Other than that it performs well.

Sound bar and sub sounded great on its own. Id recommend it .Bigger sound than the small soundbar would seem to be able to put out. Thats testament to quality of Def Tech products. HOWEVER, i also bought the W7s to use as rear surround. W7s sound great on their own too. The W7s wouldnt connect to the soundbar sytem. Unfoetunately i had to return everything. Im now installing a wired system.

The sound from the sound bar is above average. The play-fi App that you must download to stream music to the sound-bar is terrible. Connection is lost constantly and support from Def-Tec is not helpful. Get a sound-bar that has Bluetooth or if you purchase this one consider only using the digital or aux connections

Very satisfied with looks, aesthetics, sound. It was very easy to set up, works well with tv. Only issue, it does not connect with my cable provider's box, ie comcast.

I bought this under the recommendation of the Magnolia sales rep. I was looking at a more expensive Bose unit until he demonstrated this one. I was blown away at the sound. In my house, it's even better. The sound is truly surround sound somehow. Best purchase ever.

After long research i came down to this bar and bose soundtouch 300 with acustimass. So i bought both of them and compared them side by side. Sound quality of DefTech is better, it's clearer and bass is much powerful. No hdmi, no bluetooth. For futures bose, for sound quality DefTech.

I listened to this in the store and the sound performance was unbelievable for such a small speaker. .In my family room it's even better. I used this to potentially replace my 5.1 Martin Logan Motion speaker setup and Denon AV receiver. Within about 30 seconds of listening to the system, I was sold on it. It's performance was so good that I was moving out my old system to another room right away. It's surround sound capabilities are better and more immersive than my current system. The more you push it the better it performs. It has so much headroom, I'll never be able to get there without waking up everyone in my house and my close neighbors as well. Unbelievable sound clarity and a center channel that is perfect for dialogue and captures other sound details that you don't normally hear. it's so good that that I thought about exchanging it for it's larger big brother. Yes, the remote could be better (needing backlit) since I need to lower the bass late at night so I don't wake the entire house. Also, an HDMI port could come in handy but not an issue. Otherwise, it's perfect higher end audio for movies at an affordable price. Although not needed, I even decided to add a couple of rear wireless W7's to make it even better. Haven't done much on the music side, but the remote will give you the ability to adjust as needed. Best thing I've purchased in a long time

A great Black Friday purchase, gotbit for half price. Never had a sound bar before. What an incredible difference! Combined with a new Sony 55” 4K UHDTV, it’s like I’m in a movie theater without the crowd.

The Definitve Micro Soundbar system is as good as I would want any sound bar to be. It is extremely hard to believe the excellent quality of the sound I hear through it. It also is one that has a "true" center channel that you can adjust the volume on, not just some kind of blending of the front right and left [watch out for this when purchasing a soundbar] The bass from the Woofer as needed is quite excellent also and adjustable of course. The reason I bought this also was because by adding 2 play-fi speakers to the system it can set up a true surround [5 Speaker} set up wirelessly. I did knock one star off of the rating because the whole surround set up takes a little bit of getting used to doing right, but once mastered, setting up a play-fi system is a workable situation. It will also need to be reset [for surround] after a power failure it seems.

The soundbar has good sound and the narrow profile makes it fit under the tv very nicely. The sound is much better than the tv speakers and is plenty loud for the bedroom where it is. Also, looks better in the room than trying to setup individual speakers throughout.

Very good sound, fills the room, the unit uses wifi to connect to your phone instead of bluetooth which created a conflict with the wireless tv box, called tech support and got great service, they told me i need to add another router for this to connect to!

For a small bar, this puts out terrific sound which is very clear. You can also adjust the center channel/voice. This allows you to hear dialogue in movies much clearer, without being overpowered by secondary sounds. The subwoofer puts out amazing base. This is not a bluetooth enabled device, but works great when made part of your wi-fi system.

My wife wanted something that sounded and looked great. This delivers on both counts.

This sound bar is an excellent choice. It puts out a great range of sound which is very clear. The sub hits on the base. This sound bar was sync’d with my tv and directv, so I only have to use my directv remote to control the sound.

The sound quality is great for such a small sound bar. My router needs to be reset once in a while for play fi to connect to all of my speakers. I don’t mind for the added range and sound quality. Alexa compatibility will be nice
