Based on the Judge Dredd comic; Dredd is an action packed and violent film about lawlessness in the future. Only Dredd stands in the way of the decaying society. A great action movie and beautiful steelbook

This is a fun movie. Steelbook art is cool. Karl Urban has a very masculine mouth/jawline. I wouldn’t want to punch it out of fear of breaking my hand. The 4k is alright. I’m happy with the purchase.

Dredd is an extremely overlooked movie. It’s a great action movie and this Steelbook is gorgeous. It’s certainly worth the lower price point compared to other steelbooks. This is a must buy for collectors!

amazing action film in all it's gory glory. whether intentional or not, this film is like a love letter to 80s and 90s action films. it is also a great "midnight film"

Love the case look. The plastic sleeve helps reduce scratches. Also love the movie and recommend it to anyone that likes good action/thriller and doesn't mind some gore.

So glad this went back in stock, wanted the steel for a while, the art packaging is great. Same disc and quality as the standard, but very nice packaging, and new disc art too which is cool.

Great slipcover on a beautiful steelbook. It’s important to collectors that no dents or scratches are on the product. This is a beautiful example of that.

This movie is great, but gory. Definitely not for kids. Urban as Dredd is awesome. The story is pretty good. It should have received a sequel. The atmos on the 4k is done well.

I don't know if this movie takes full advantage of the 4K but it still looks good. I honestly bought it for the awesome steelbook. Worth the price alone.

Love this movie. Was hoping for a sequel but, looks like it will never happen. Great action and stunts. The steelbook looks excellent.

When Dredd first came out, I had no interest in seeing this. I rented a few years ago and was blown away by this movie. It is a great ride from start to finish and I can't say enough good things about this film. This isn't demo worthy 4k, but it is still better than the regular blu-ray.

Move over Stallone, Karl Urban is here! This is Judge Dredd the way he was MEANT to be! Let me start off by saying that this 2012 version is far better than the cheesy 90s flick. It gets everything about the character pretty much right. Its gritty, violent, dark and str8 up awesome. The bloodshed in this film is sort of a wink and a nod to those hardcore violent action films of the 80s and the cast is brilliant -- especially Karl Urban and his commanding presence and that freakin' CHIN of his, which is absolutely amazing! Not since I saw Michael Keaton in the Batsuit as a kid have I seen an actor dawn a mask (or in this case, a helmet) that suits him so well. He's perfect for the role! On top of that, the sets are amazing and the special effects are very impressive. Both of those elements really lend themselves to the whole shooter-video-game feeling of the film and it works very well. Plus the 3D is the cherry on the top. It elevates the on screen action that much more... Which brings me to the vital statistics of the blu-ray. This is very fine presentation in 2D and even more-so in 3D! Nothing ever pops outta the screen here, which is why I didnt give it a perfect 5 outta 5 (Im a sucker for gimmicks), but depth and dimensionality are smartly utilized, sometimes subtly and sometimes drastically, and the result is quite dazzling. Things seem pretty well seperated/layered at times, and though there are a few scenes that appear virtually flat with no sense of natural space, theres not enough of them to get mad about. There is a bit of noise in the darker hallway sequences tho, kinda looks like static or grain, but its not too distracting at all. The SLO-MO drugs sequences are a trip and, needless to say, very very cool! The sound on this movie is LOUD, aggressive and crystal clear. Dialogue might even get drowned out sometimes by all the gunfire and explosions at certain points in the film, as this is a bass-heavy and bombastic soundtrack. (C'mon guys. It is an action film after all) But make no mistake, I loved it. To me, its one of the better action soundtracks out there. All in all, this is a great buy and the price was hella cheap for a 3D blu-ray.
