I've had this for about a month. When I was choosing which activity tracker to purchase, I was between the Fitbit Alta and AltaHR. So glad I got the AltaHR. There is so much more information you can get on sleep, calories burned, exercise. Slim design is great. I initially got the rose gold pink version for $40 more. Didn't like the rose gold. Purchased the blue gray. Love the color. It is a slight lilac color. Good accuracy for HR during all activities. It has motivated me to move more with the step reminders each hour and goals. I have also used the Withings version of the activity tracker and the Fitbit Charge. This is superior.

Counts my steps, keeps track of my heart rate, tells me how well I slept at night, shows the time and date, even vibrates and lets me know when I have a new message, who from and what it's about!

Connected to my Android cell phone, I can keep track of my sleep, steps, pulse, exercise without a problem. Those are the main things that I care about.

I absolutely love my Alta Hr, I have a hard time trying to find a smart tracker to fit my tiny wrist and its perfect and very comfortable and tracks everything that I want. The battery life last forever, i'm going on 5 days now and i'm at half the battery life . I had the charge 2 for a week and it hurt my wrist and was uncomfortable to me, everyone is different the choose is yours. I'm in love with my Alta Hr.

I love how my fitbit looks. The alta is just the right size, not too small or too bulky. I love the heart rate monitor. I did buy a nice metal watch band for it because the one it came with wasn't very stylish.

Battery last on average 6-7 days. I can sometimes even get it to 8 days. So battery quality is really good. Sometimes it would take time to sync with my Android phone. I don't have a problem getting message notification (WhatsApp or text messages), phone call notification, and reminder notification. I would rate the product 4.5/5. My only downside would be the product is not waterproof. Other than that, I really enjoy the fitbit alta hr. I have been using this everyday, when sleeping, going to the gym and at work and i have been quite satisfied.

The fitbit connects to an app, where you can track your progress. I have noticed that I want to go for that extra walk or exercise a little more. It is very motivating. You set your goals at the beginning. That being said, the app can be confusing when looking for a specific feature. The band gets itchy and must be maintained. I've sweated into my Fitbit quite a lot and it has got gotten uncomfortable at times. Overall, my Fitbit has made me more aware of my fitness and gives me all the resources to be more fit. I love that I can track my sleep and heart rate. These are some in interesting insights!

Overall I really enjoy the alta HR. The tracking and notifications are convenient, easy set up, easy to use, my battery lasts for about 4 days. It would be nice if they'd update it to include some of the same features the larger ones have (waterproof, auto recognition of more than just walking and hiking, etc.) but this one is good enough. I am a very petite female so this size was perfect. The charge2/3 and versa were enormous on my wrist and were not comfortable. Overall it was a good buy.

This purchase was an upgrade replacing my Fitbit Charge. Love it even more than the Charge. Wrist band buckles like a watch so it won't come off your wrist; very secure. The wrist band is also interchangeable, fun! The device provides detailed info about your sleep patterns and pings you throughout the day to get up and get moving. Plus it monitors your heart rate and more. Fitbit makes a great product and is a good investment in your health.

I have a small wrist and the small fits perfect. The HR appears fairly accurate when I compare to cardio HR at gym. I have sensitive skin but no problems with the band. It has really motivated me to be more active. Now my friends want to get one. My sister has Fitbit HR 2 and she loves hers too. Wish it was more sensitive in registering the exercise. Have to manually enter some stuff but still happy with my purchase which I bought on sale.

    More Than I Bargained For

I thought I was buying a step tracker but the Alta HR is so much more. I love the hr monitor, allows me to assess resting hr and hr during exercise. I am surprised by how much I use the app. For weight loss the app is much more accurate at tracking recommended calories based on exercise than MFP alone. I find the app features motivating (exercise goals per day, steps per hour, etc.). Size is great for a small wrist. Great bands on Amazon.

HR is much better than my original Alta

I really like the HR function of this Fitbit. I had the Alta without the HR and found it just okay. I like the sleep function much better also. The only issue I wish they could improve is the exercise program. It doesn't seem to track any exercise during yoga, which is exercise. Also a bit confused because some days it records activity and other days it shows zero. Otherwise, I find it a good tool to help keep me on track and explain why (lack of quality sleep) I have days where I just cannot meet my goals. Also love the new band clasp.

This is my second fitbit (misplaced first) and the sleeker profile is nice. The hourly reminders to keep moving have increased my number of daily steps (but doesn't bother me when napping). Tracks sleep well (can't say if depth of sleep is correct). Not sure if HR is always terribly accurate. Ability to add exercises is easy. Ability to keep track of calories is also easy. I would like to see interchangable charging devices.

So I’ve had the Charger prior to this and as much as I liked it, it was too big and bulky and lasted 6 months before cracking and breaking for good. I love the size of this one. I bought the protector shield this time and the warranty. So far so good except you have to tap it extremely card to see the time. It says it’s not water resistant but it can get a little wet, however I take it off to shower or bath my son. I like that I can read my text messages and see calls coming in on my phone too.

Love it! Is nice and low profile instead of having a giant watch-like tracker on my wrist. Does everything I need it too, easily to clean. The original band broke off about 13 months after having it, but that's daily use (and a lil abuse) so I'm good with that. Got a cheapy replacement that works just the same. Fitbit app is very intuitive. Would highly recommend.

I was deciding between the Charge2 and AltaHR, but I decided the Charge2 was too bulky and opted for the AltaHR instead. They have similar features, but the Charge2 does have some features that AltaHR does not, but I figured I wouldn't really use those features anyway. AltaHR is good for tracking steps and heart rate. I wish it had an interval timer that I could set, but other than that, I am happy with it.

Got one of these nifty Fitbits for my wife and she is quite faithful in getting her steps in every day. We'll be watching TV at night and she will get up and start walking around the room to meet her goal. The sleep information is also very insightful, as she often has insomnia and has a lot of difficulty surrounding sleep. She also got a third party shiny pink wristband for her Fitbit, cause... that's just her.

My husband was really excited about getting an activity tracker that monitors heart rate without a chest strap. Now that he's got it- he is very pleased. The stylish black band makes it easy to wear at work or outside the office. It's helped him set daily heart rate goals and meet them. It's helped him increase his step count because he is motivated to meet his daily goal since he gets frequent reminders about it.
