This is by far my favorite FitBit. I had a Flex before but it did not provide enough information. I was given a Charge HR as a gift, but exchanged it for this one. I prefer the slimmer profile and it looks a lot neater on my wrist. It still tracks heartrate and sleep patterns, just not floor climbed. I can live with that!

I was really hesitant to make this purchase because I wasn’t sure how functional is was going to be, but now I love it! The battery life is great lasts me up to 5 days. Love how it measures how many calories I’ve burned during my workout. I also bought interchangeable bands so I can get a different look every day.

My daughter loves it. I love it because it's more than a tech toy...it's a tech tool, and she has been actually using it! Now I don't have any problems "encouraging" her to get up and get some excercise...she is all abou making her quota each day. Should also note that she is happy with her improvements in her PE class. An added bonus is that all of her friends think it's the coolest!!!

I enjoyed having the original Alta, so was excited to get this new version. I really like the improvements they’ve made to it. Only wish they could count stairs, too.

This fitbit is a big improvement over the Charge HR. It is really small, has interchangeable bands, and does not seem as likely as the Charge to fall apart after a year. The charging mechanism is kind of weird, as there is nothing to clip into or align on so you know you're actually charging. Also, this fitbit does NOT track elevation gains (flights of stairs) if this is an important factor for you.

I find that it makes me feel guilty if I do not move for a long time. Moving even a few steps is going to help me so I try to improve my steps every day. Has little reminders in case you forget which I like. Only thing I don't like is that sometimes have difficulty seeing the time or other details even tho I keep tapping it.

It is a stylish, very good fitness tracker. It allows you to receive texts also. We bought this for our teenage daughter as an alternative to the much more expensive Apple Watch. It is not waterproof and you can not return texts, answer calls etc. but at this point it was not worth the extra money for the Apple Watch.

    A Gift For a Dancer

Purchased for granddaughter's 16th birthday. She uses it very day and loves it. Picked the Altra HR to have a smaller device to fit in with her dancing gear. I have been a Fitbit addicted user since they first came out. This is the 3rd Fitbit device purchased as a gift for family members. Each one has been a winner.

I moved from a clunky Garmin back to a Fitbit! The garmin kept getting in the way when i was doing any kettlebell exercises...causing a lump below my wrist as it would get in the way when doing a "clean" flip of the equipment. The Alta is slim and non intrusive. My only s complaints: 1. Already has a tiny scratch on it. 2. tracks distance in miles etc...but not step by step. Otherwise I like it a lot!

Purchased this for my sister for Christmas; considered the less expensive one, but this one has the heart rate feature, which seems like a feature close to the whole point in wearing an activity monitor. Wish it had been available in more colors. Offered the perfect encouragement to get her to get out & exercise.
