Does its job. Tracks your steps. Allows you to key in your calorie intake. I primarily use it for tracking my sleep and taunting my wife :) Only issue I have had so far is with synchronization. It either takes too long, or if my fitbit dies before I charge it, the time doesn't want to correct. Overall, good purchase.

It is a good product. Stylish. I use it mostly as a motivator for taking extra steps, climbing extra steps and sleeping adequately everyday. I like the auto sleep tracker. Battery lasts about 5 days.

    My Mom Loves It...

My sister and I bought this for my Mom, for Mother's Day. She has been using it, religiously. I sat down with her and asked her how she has been liking it. She said that she absolutely loves it! She said the app works great and it was easy to use. She charges it, just fine. It's gotten wet a few times, and not had any issues. By wet, I mean splashed on or dropped in the sink. The band is adjustable. It has all the standard features, like tracking your steps, caller id (connected with Bluetooth to your phone), and time. But, what she loves the most is the heart rate monitor. She thinks that part is the best. She is very happy about it and would recommend the Charge, to anyone wanting a fitness tracker.

Don't have anything to compare it to. Thai is my first HR monitor, pedometer I've purchased. Tells time, steps, heart rate, how many miles Walked and calories burned. It vibrates when callers call your phone, of synced to your phone. You can set alarms to wake you by vibration. Syncs with weight watchers app. Great product

I was excited when fitbit announced that they were finally going to make a fitness tracker with a HR monitor that did not have to go around your chest. HR is a key factor in determining calories burned. All was good the day I first purchased it until I did my workout that evening. It is excellent at tracking your daily HR while not doing too much activity but it goes downhill from there. I wore my old polar over the chest tracker which is very accurate just for comparisons sake. When going into the upper cardio zones, i.e. above 160 bpm, the tracker simply does not register it. When my polar registers 170 which is what i know i usually train at while I sprint the charge was reading 148! If you are looking to get one to replace your chest HR monitor do not get this but it does everything else very well. Steps are very accurate and the app for tracking food intake is solid.

This works really well and the battery lasts a long time. It's pretty comfortable and seems pretty accurate. It syncs easily to the phone and is easy to charge. My only complaint is the face scratches easily. I've had it for a day and it is already scratched up on the face. Seems like you would want a protector for it.

I am very impressed with the accuracy of this tool. Fitbit Charge HR interfaces perfectly with Weight Watcher's eTools for activity tracking, as well as my smart phone. The concern others noted about skin reaction to the band has not been an issue for me. Other features, i.e.clock and calendar, have allowed me to replace my wristwatch with this Fitbit.

i previously had the fitbit charge and then upgraded to the charge HR. i think this is a great watch, although the battery life is a little less than the charge (due to the HR monitor) it is still really good. it is definitely more accurate when it comes to steps, and exercise activity. i completely recommend this watch to anyone that is looking for one.

This was a gift for my husband after he commented on how he liked mine (I have the "Charge" without HR). He loves it. We especially love how it tracks our sleep (probably the best feature for us). This product works well, and is easy to sync to mobile phone. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to be more aware of their activity.

This is my first fitness tracker and I have to say its pretty amazing! Just the fact that it tracks your heart rate makes it worth the price tag. Me and my girlfriend bought it together and its been a fun little competition we have created, so its been a great motivator to get out there and exercise! It also tracks your sleep! Its an awesome tool!

It does many things automatically: Heart Rate, footsteps, calories burned, stairs, the time, and silent alarms (vibration), and most especially sleep patterns (waking and sleeping). BUT: you do have to figure out calories you've eaten, your exercise, and manually enter them. It also cannot be worn while swimming.

I got this as a late Christmas present a couple of months ago. I was mostly interested in the heart rate monitor and that seems to be pretty accurate. The other things are fairly accurate. Once in a while it misses a flight of stairs. One thing that they could improve is to make the wrist band a little more flexible or curved slightly to fit the wrist.

    Great motivation

I purchased the Fitbit Charge HR after beginning a new role in my career that requires a lot of sitting at my desk. I spend my breaks walking often with co workers. The Charge HR is very comfortable. The watch like band is very stable and not intrusive. I have an Apple Watch and I used to use the original Nike fuel band. The biggest difference for me with the Fitbit is the App. It really is just top notch. The tracking seems incredibly accurate. And often my co workers will invite me to a challenge. This week we did the work week hustle challenge and although it doesn't seem like much, it's totally motivating. I went back to Best Buy to buy one for my wife but unfortunately Best Buy does not carry the color she wants. Seems weird to me but I'll be purchasing hers off the Fitbit site. Super quality construction and once again I forget I even have it on. Had it over a week and ha e only needed to charge it once. Just buy it.

While I purchased this to see what my heart rate was doing, I found a even better reason to have a fit bit. I now know that my sleep was all messed up... The only problem I had was that for some reason every time I had it on my watch would stop. My husband has the same problem, so we just put it ion the other wrist.

Great piece of technology in your wrist. Really recommend the HR option for reading your pulse rate, it keeps you inform of your health. I like that it tells you how well you sleep and the time your being active. Its a great way to compete with your friends and stay fit.

It accurately grabs calories burned which i use to control my diet, down 11 lbs since I purchased this a month ago. Occasionally loses heart rate if the band is too low during exercise (so like a stationary bike might be an issue, but an most other activities it works fine)

Nice for general tracking and motivation

I usually only buy electronics if I really need them or deem them very useful in my life, but after much research I did determine that this was a useful purchase even though it was over $100. When I purchased my Fitbit Charge HR my primary goal was to track my sleep quality. I had been using Sleep for Android and didn't like that I had to sleep with the phone on the bed next to me and be worried about knocking it off in the middle of the night (which I did a few times). I wanted a wearable that would interact with my sleep app, but Sleep for Android -- while a very detailed and nice app -- doesn't interface with many types of wearables. I checked out FitBit's app and though it is sufficient it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like Sleep for Android has like recording sound bites of me snoring. After getting the Charge HR I found I look at my daily steps and levels more than I do my sleep quality. I also take advantage of the ability to link my FitBit app to MyFitnessPal app so it automatically tracks my steps, autodetects my exercise, and logs them for "bonus" calorie allowance for my day in MyFitnessPal. I'm trying to lose weight and I get motivation from seeing my progress through numbers so the instant reporting of how I'm doing throughout the day is very nice for me to keep me going. I've heard the band on FitBits in general is weak and people lose a lot of bands because they fall off so easily without people knowing, but this Charge HR has a very nice clasp design with a holder with a tooth for the extra band that secures the band very well (and is almost a little of a pain to get off). I don't know the technology that it uses to determine when I take a step or when I got up a level, but I found it is not horribly accurate but good enough for me to get a general idea if I am being active enough or a slug that day. For example, I just took a school bus ride today and logged 400 steps on a one way trip just sitting towards the front of the bus. Whew did I work hard today! However I am impressed with the accuracy it is able to autodetect when I actually fall asleep and wake up. I wear my Charge HR all the time day and night and find I have to charge it every 3 days (not the 5 days as advertised). This was a big decision for me since I haven't worn a watch in over 6 years! While it felt odd to have something on my wrist again it didn't give me a rash. I've gotten used to it and even enjoy being able to tell time and the date again without having to dig in my pocket to look at my phone. The height of the band at the LED area was a bit higher than I was expecting or wanted, but it isn't too bad. It doesn't catch on much and is definitely not as big as the Armitron watches I used to wear way back in the day. I did do an analysis of all the wearables out there and all the wearables that FitBit offers. The Charge HR is the one I liked, because I didn't want a big smart watch, but yet I wanted a good set of health tracking features -- the caller ID is a nice feature too. I read that the Charge HR is going to be discontinued at the end of 2016 and replaced with the model that doesn't have heart rate tracking so I wanted to get this one before they were unavailable. Overall, I think my purchase was worthwhile. I've lost 15 pounds so far -- mostly from calorie counting using MyFitnessPal app -- but every bit of motivation is helpful for me. My kids like it too as they tap on my band throughout the day to see how many steps I've taken. I didn't give it a full 5 stars because of the inaccuracy of the step counting, but it was good enough, and all the other features make it worth while.

I bought the Fitbit Charge HR for myself, then bought one for my wife and then for my mother. It is really great to be able to know how many calories I am burning throughout the day. My wife and I thought we were pretty active, but after wearing the fitbit the first few days we were surprised to see that we weren't making the 10,000 steps we thought we were making. Now we are incorporating fitness into our daily lives and making better food choices. The heart rate portion is fantastic. It helps to know when I am in the cardio burn or even my peak heart rates for workouts...it helps me to challenge myself. My mother found that she was actually working too hard shoveling this past winter and learned to take it a little easier. We wear ours all the time, except for charging and showering. It takes a few days to get used to having something on your wrist even while sleeping, but now after using it for a few months, I miss not having it on when I am charging it. I would recommend getting the HR and if you do, purchase it in Large. The small is way too small. I recommend buying this Fitbit if you are a visual person and like to know how many calories you are eating vs burning.... or if you like charts and graphs. It's a lot of fun.

I love this. It's a great motivator. I like that with the push of a button I can see how many steps I've taken, how many beats per minute my heart beats, how many stairs I've climbed, how many calories burned, and how many miles I've walked. Haven't taken my Fitbit Charge HR off since I got it and don't intend to. Highly recommend this device.
