The Fitbit Charge HR is a great motivational tool to help individuals stay active. The device vibrates and displays info that you've reached your step goal for the day. The setup is very easy, but maybe a tad slower than desirable. The device communicates well with my Android phone, but the call notification feature seems to be a bit slow. My biggest complaint is that the battery does seem to drain a bit faster than advertised, especially after a few weeks of use. Since the battery charges so quickly, this isn't terrible, but it's a bit annoying. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

It's accurate, easy to view on the device or my phone, and I love the buckle. It never comes undone or falls off of my wrist. I'll definitely buy Fitbit again.

I purchased the Fitbit Charge HD to replace my old Fitbit Charge, whose strap had broken. The Charge HD is very similar to the standard HD except that it has a better wrist strap (with a buckle instead of snap pins) and provides a heart rate monitor. Easy to use and connects quickly to both your computer (with provided dongle) and phone (via Bluetooth). I wear it everywhere and all day except in the shower, and make extensive use of the online Fitbit dashboard to monitor steps, food intake, calories burned, etc. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the Charge HD and recommend it highly!

I love this Fit Bit and being challenged by friends and family members who use Fit Bits. I am walking more, eating less, drinking more water and did I mention... walking, walking, WALKING more than I have in years. GREAT tool for fitness. I highly recommend. It is well worth the money, believe me. My doctor agrees. I was just in to see him and he is excited I have already lost five pounds in less than one month. The only con for me is that I should have gotten the small rather than the large....and I would have preferred purple, but I just ordered on line and got the first one I saw.

It meets all my needs. I particularly love the phone app that works with it. Very robust! There are some opportunities for improvement. It would be great for it to be waterproof. In fact, it makes no sense if you create any situation to take it off and create lapses in your activity. A battery that at least lasts a year make sense for the same reasons describe above. Garmin's activity tracker does it in the same general price point

Great step count, bought for the hubby. He loves it; we both compete with each other on step count. Be better if battery would last longer.

I had a Fitbit Flex and traded up because I wanted the heart rate monitoring. The Charge HR is comfortable to wear. The heart rate monitoring is pretty accurate when compared to heart rate monitors On the equipment that I use at the gym and I like being able to use that information to plan future workouts. I'm surprised that I like the caller ID feature as well as I do. It allows me to discreetly check who is calling me if I'm sitting in a meeting and I like that much more than I expected. The feedback about steps, miles, and water intake has helped me to improve my behaviors related to these areas.

All the functions work as advertised. It connects via bluetooth reliably. The app allows you to track your progress, and monitor your sleep activity. There was a problem with the wrist bands on earlier versions irritating the wearer's skin, but there has been no problem with this version. The wrist band on this model has a traditional watch-type buckle. The models with the press-on closures are hard to put on, can come undone, and you can lose the activity monitor without knowing it until you realize it's not on your wrist anymore. This model is probably the best activity monitor out there.

I bought this as a replacement for my Flex, which broke almost a year to the day that I bought it. The Charge HR is more sturdy than the Flex, and gives a lot more info to the user, but the gripe I have is the battery life. Fitbit claims "5-7" days, which is just false. Even with all day sync off, the max life that anyone can get out of these units is 60 hours. Meaning you have to take it off and charge it every two days. It's still a good buy, but Fitbit really needs to work on the battery life and their overstated claims.
