This is a pretty great product, it does a great job tracking your sleep and has a vast food bank to track calorie intake. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to pause the step counting. I ride a motorcycle to work and the tracker records anywhere from 900 to 2,500 steps on my commute, which messes with my intake and output numbers. Other than that, this is a great activity tracker.

Bought 2 Charge HRs because we wanted to have the heart rate option. We like them a lot except for 2 things: They don't track stairs accurately and if you are using your phone to keep track of your goals, you have to open the app during the day or you don't get credit for the steps you took. Some days I am too busy to even look at my phone so it's irritating not to have my information recorded.

With the charge HR I can sync it with my phone and have a graph which displays my heart rate during various activity and it has a color code system for fat burn heart rate, cardio, and peak heart rate. Downside is it is not very easy to change the clock with time zones immediately, when getting off a plane unless you remove the device for the duration of the flight, then it syncs right away.

Since purchasing the fitbit HR for my husband, I have noticed he has become much more aware of his activity level. Plus, the sleep tracking mode is especially useful. He now has an understanding of why he feels tired upon waking. The sleep tracking graph shows that he has several restless periods during the night on a consistent basis. Overall, good purchase for monitoring all phases of activity, HR, as well as, nutritional intake.

The pros: I like the amount of data it can give you, although I think the number of steps is inflated. I also like the vibrating alarm. The cons: short battery life, not waterproof, so you have to take it off before bathing, needs a special charging cable, and the terrible strap which is a pain to get back on and secure it.

I have had jawbones in the past but the Fitbit charge had been my favorite activity tracker up to this point. The heart rate monitor is fantastic and surprisingly accurate. I like that the charge has a screen to view you progress. I personally like jawbones app and sleep tracking system more but fitbit's sleep tracking and app works fine. Overall, I'm very impressed with this activity tracker and would definitely recommend this product.

Fitbit - Charge HR - Large

Returned the small for the large as it was a better fit. However, after using it, it didn't do what I was looking for. The heart rate runs in the background and I was hoping to be able to use it for my workout. If you want to see your continuous heart rate you have to toggle between all the fields. Just not what I was looking for. Exchanged it for the Fitbit Flex, which I am extremely happy with.

Great fitness tracking device, tracks steps, floors climbed, heartbeat, calories burned, distance traveled and sleep. Keeps you motivated to reach your goals, especially if you link with friends and family that also have the Fitbit and create challenges. My only negative aspect is the battery life, they are supposed to last 5 days and mine only lasts about 2 days before I have to charge it.

This was a gift for my wife and I knew from prior reviews that the battery life might not be the promised five days ... two to three days is more accurate ... also distance measured may vary slightly from a GPS tracking device but likely is within 95% ... only reason for Good vs Excellent was the battery life ... but it is simple to charge - probably best NOT if wearing during sleep ;)

I LOVE Fitbit, but understand that their products are overpriced when they tend to break often. HOWEVER, Fitbit is GREAT at replacing their products when something happens to them. I like the HR much better than the regular charge mostly because of the band. I like that it resembles an actual watch and doesn't use just the clasp that tends to break. Their app is very intuitive and this is a great way to track various items.
