I love my fitbit! I do acknowledge that it does have some flaws though. For example, it doesn't always track my heart rate when i'm exercising as well as it with resting heart rate well. I like the sleep tracking and it really does motivate me to move more. I think wearing this band makes me more aware when I'm being lazy and shames me into going for a walk. :)

The main reason I purchased this was for the heart rate monitor. The only issue I have with this is the stairs climbed feature. This feature is not even close to being accurate. I climbed one set of stairs today but it is showing that I have climbed 8. Otherwise all other features work great. If the stair climbing feature is not important, I would recommend this product.

The HR version is the most useful in terms of actual fittness. I had a Samsung watch that calculated heart rate but only when you are still so it kinda did not make sense. You ean want to see your heart rate while you are on the go. Also, the phone app and the online app is incredibly helpful and works great when you have a bunch of friends and family using fitbit devices as well. Highly recommended!

it does everything i want and not much more. I didn't want a tracker with gps and all the frills of an apple watch or similar items. the only cons are the battery life is less than i'd like, and goes down significantly if you use the phone call notification and multiple alarms. also, the screen is prone to scratching because of it's location and lack of any recess.

I absolutely love my FitBit Charge HR. This has replaced the need for multiple devices to track my activity and I am very happy with this device. There is only one drawback, and that is the battery life. I would much rather it last for a full week, but my workaround is plugging it in every 2-3 evenings while I settle down with a TV show right before bed. It is just enough time to get it back to a full charge.

Started with a Fitbit 'Charge'. Battery was only good for a day...advertised 7-10 days! Took it back and upgraded to a Fitbit Charge HR. Battery lasted about 3.5 days...advertised up to 5 days...reasonable, so I kept it and it has been good to go. Must add that working with Fitbit support was a refreshingly good experience. Prompt, professional, and courteous!

The best bang for your buck

Of all the fitbits, I would say this is the most bang for your buck. If you are going to spend money on a fitness tracker, go ahead and buy one with a heart rate monitor to get the most accurate calorie counting. If you aren't looking for something that has ALL the bells and whistles, this is for you. If you want GPS, to be able to read your texts and control your music, the Surge is the way to go.

Got this for Christmas. Charged it then it easily paired with my phone. The instructions are pretty clear. It isn't perfect at tracking steps, and stairs, but it's good for getting a general idea of activity. I like that I can get a general idea of sleep and my heart rate too. It has helped motivate me more to get more activity, which is part of why I got it.

I recently returned my first Fitbit because it was no longer able to accept a charge... The new one is fine except the battery charge does not last very long. Great product and I love it for beach walking. My suggestion to the manufacturer would be to have the numbers more easily visible in the sunshine. It is almost impossible to read on a sunny beach walk.

I like everything about the Fitbit Charge HR except the steps count. If you check the steps, then walk 100 steps it is right on. But, it also counts some hand movements while working at my desk. So maybe it's more activity tracker then step counter. Heart rate monitor works great. Haven't decided on the sleep tracker yet. Phone interface works great but could use a few tweaks - nothing major. Overall a 4.5.

I ignored prior reviews showing this FitBit only gets two or three days on a charge and not the stated five days as my wife wanted this for Christmas. She is enjoying the device but has seen that it does not hold a charge consistently. Knowing it requires charging more often ... every second or third day ... is the only reason we did not rate this five stars.

This is very reliable activity tracker and heart rate monitor. Please remember, it's not exact. But very close to at least my goals were. I personally used the HR with the LED sensor toward the inner part of my wrist when I'm working out to increase reading accuracy. I also use a sweat wrist band when working out to protect it from dings and also keep it in place! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have...

This was a neat gadget. The app is wonderful and the device is one of the most accurate pedometers I've used. The HR feature was great and getting an analysis of my sleep was very insightful. Having said all that, the reason I am giving it three starts is because the face gets scratched very easily. Also, it would turn off randomly. Not sure why, but it could have been because I accidentally get it wet. But the one thing that annoyed me the most is that the band started to come undone after 4 months. For the price of one of these, I would hope they last longer than 4 months. If you buy this, definitely spend the extra 30 on the warranty.
