It worked okay in my 14x18 bedroom with 9 ft ceilings, but not great. It had more trouble getting the humidity out, but in Houston, maybe that was too much to expect. It did a decent job, just not to the capacity that I expected.

The exhaust hose is bulky and difficult to keep attached to both the unit and window. The unit itself is not as quiet at expected. Ended up returning the unit and bought a window unit instead.

Also, most AC's I have had before required a hose to drain the water or at least had to be emptied every several days. This has a place for draining water, but despite a humid summer we have not had to drain it yet after 2 months of use.

It did not get very cold for us. Our old window unit got much colder. Returned this one and got a GE window unit from Home Depot. Much better and much colder air.

You get what you pay for

The hose keeps getting disconnected from the both the window attachment and the unit. It's really loud and it takes a while to cool the whole room, but after a couple hours it gets the job done.
