    A/C unit didn't work for 2 seasons. Didn't mind coz the room is barely used anyway. Technicians won't touch because its under warranty. Frigidaire CS asks for receipt. Store cannot fond a receipt and refuses to give proof of purchase despite my BestBuy account showing and debit card showing the purchase. Called BestBuy CS while in the presence of Store Manager, after almost half an hour, CS dropped the call. I'm in the store right now as I write this review. All I'm asking is a proof of purchase, BestBuy Northern Blvd in Queens NY cannot do it. How can I return the required paperwork back to manufacturer without it? Horrible experience.

    metal case was damaged

    The air conditioner seems to work well, but it came with damage to the metal case on the side and back. The reason I gave it 2 stars is I think it was sent out with someone knowing the damaged condition and not done in transit??? I have pictures if Best Buy is interested.

    Product arrived dented and bent. Though product still works I wouldn’t recommend ordering online. Look at it before you buy it to make sure there is no damage.

    Our old window air conditioner was the same BTUs but did a MUCH better job of cooling our home. We should have returned this... It’s either a defective one or they’re just junk.

      *Ensure the capacity of the room air conditioner fits your room size for efficient and satisfactory operation.       * Try installing your air conditioner on the shady side of your home/room. A window that faces north is best because it is shaded most of the day.

    Purchased this June 9, 2019, worked great last year. Stored the AC in a spare room, nothing disturbing it or able to get broken. Installed June 19, 2020 and its making a horrible noise. Tried everything, found out its the motor. Its shot. Frigidaire is unless when you call. So for 1 season we paid over $300 and now we have to buy another. Stay away from Fridgidaire.

    This was supposed to be an open box. However this was an used unit. Very disappointed with the product. Called customer to return however since I was going on vacation I could not. Now I am stuck with a poor and used unit. Do not buy an open box unit.

    2 days short of a year it stopped cooling. It was only in use from may thru October. So it basically lasted 5 months.

    Had this model for a few days and the same thing that happened to my last model happen again had to return it the fan stopped working

    Website says for 22 inch min window, instructions on unit say 24 and will not fit my 23 in window. Now I have a unit I cannot use.

    Works great continuous even after 5 years. Bought the extra warranty, but there was really no need. The AC just keeps pumping cold air. Filter easy to clean and replace.

    Had this unit for 5 years. It was AMAZING! It turned on by remote or by using the controls on it. It would quickly distribute air throughout my room. The cost to keep it on was not too bad and I'd rather be cold in the summer than burning up, so it was perfect for my needs. I would recommend this to any friend. After four summers of constant use for about 5 months a year, it finally died for good on me. The unit itself still works but it no longer produces cold air. However, I kept it on pretty constantly night and day and moved it between 6 different places, so it may have been an error on my part.

    Blows the 8,000 BTU out of water!

    Don't get me wrong, I love the Frigidaire but it was inadequate for our new living room and had to upgrade. While we were looking at 12,000 BTU or so, either it was GE or other brands we didn't care for. Always had good luck with Frigidaire so we ordered it (and glad we did as it sold out the day after). It wasn't too heavy so ended up just installing it with piece of wood as a support in the back just in case. I couldn't believe the difference it made, little over 2,000 BTU made a night and day difference. And it is quieter like others have said. It's been cooling off our 900 sq ft first floor much quicker. We brought the 8000 BTU unit upstairs also as the 5000 BTU wasn't cutting it. So all I can say is definitely do your square footage calculation and go a little higher in BTU to give it some overhead and not constantly fighting. The remote is definitely nice.

    Installed this in the kitchen during a recent heat wave. Best Buy was the only place that had 10000 BTU units available. Cools the kitchen and the living room and does an amazing job of removing humidity. Very pleased with this AC and would definitely recommend it.
