Great Upgrade with Unexpected Benefits
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an eight thousand BTU unit for the bedroom and upstairs area. I was planning on running it on low fan during the night because of its size and the expected fan noise. BUT, I found that this unit is actually quieter on HIGH than the 8000 unit was on MEDIUM. Both are in the same Frigidaire family so if you are looking at the 8000 unit but your window can take this 2x2 inch larger unit, consider it! I do like the older style remote better but am adapting to the new one.

I constantly had to manually change the setting to get the unit to kick on. I paid for a remote with a sensor so I wouldn't have to do that.

Posted .Good morning, thank you for sharing your review with us. Check to ensure the remote control is located within range of the air conditioner. Place the remote control within 20 feet &120°, radius of the front of the unit. Also, check to see if the remote control's signal is obstructed. Remove any items that might be in the way of the remote and the unit communicating to each other. To check to see if your remote is working, press the remote sensing start button on the remote and you should see the remote sensing light pulsing on the air conditioner. They put geek squad support till 2028, but when I contact geek squad they tell me it’s not full coverage. Geek squad is a joke and a ripoff. Best Buy products have dropped in quality as well.
