even there is no case for DVD, CD still it works great than my Vaio

After my laptop was stolen I decided I didn't need that much weight to drag around anymore. I loved my Gateway laptop so gettng their netbook was a no brainer.

Gateway is one of the most highly brands I buy. Love my netbook. The only thing I was upset with was not being able to change my background on the desktop, but other than that like any other Gateway computer it works excellent. I Highly recommend it.

I got this netbook, but i found that it is very small display. the product is light , easy to take it anywhere. operating system is good and fast. it 's hard to watch movies on this device . just surfing internet and listen to radio.

Works great, easy to handle. Plugged in a USB DVD drive and loaded my programs - works great. Music even sounds OK on it. Look forward to plugging it into my TV and streaming NetFlix movies to the TV.

Gateway has released me into the mobile world of convenience. Maximizing potential has never been so easy, all I have to do is drive! Others could compare but my net-book is reliable. Take care of it.

I bought this for my daughter & she loves it! It looks & performs great. The only downside to a netbook is no disk drive, but my daughter wont use that anyway.

When i was in Virginia visiting to my sister, i went to bestbuy looking 4 a netbook and when i saw this machine, i take it with me...i tested it ..is a cool netbook...

GREAT FOR AIRLINE TRAVEL. TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO GET USED TO THE SMALLER KEYBOARD WHICH IS NOT A PROBLEM BETTER TO CARRY THIS ON A PLANE THEN A 6 OR 7 POUND LAPTOP

I got this computer as a bundle package and its great. I love that it has a number key pad. Most laptops dont and that was a bonus for me.

Very nice little machine. Great for what I want to use it for. I have been using it everyday with no hiccups. I'm well satisfied with it.

Awesome netbook, it comes in different colors if you go to the Gateway website and what is so great is that it is made by Acer.

I have owned a Gateway desktop and loved it, so now I am trying the Notebook and I love it.

the net book is not so fast, but only 1 gb mem where can you go wrong, would like for it to be faster.

Do a little research and spend a little more money upfront to save yourself in the long run. I upgraded the ram to 2 GB and the operating system to Windows 7 Home Premium. With those 2 upgrades my total out of pocket cost was close to $500 including tax. I figured these upgrades would help with the performance but I am disappointed in how slowly it runs even when I'm just surfing the internet. Check out the Gateway EC1814u and you'll see you get 64-bit Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, a low-voltage 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, 4GB memory, 500GB hard drive, full-size keyboard with multi-gesture trackpad, HDMI output, and a 11.6" HD LED screen. Check the specs out for yourself and compare the two and you will see you get a lot more in the EC1814U for not a lot more out of pocket. I wish I would have done a little bit more research and found this one before I bought mine but now I'm stuck.

I just bought one of these and take VERY good care of my equipment. I was taking the netbook out of its case the other day and the battery release / lock tab fell off. Got a hold of gateway reps and they said it would be covered as a manufacture warrenty issue. Send it in and they reply witha fix price of over $200.00...... For a clip the size of the tip of my pinky after less than 2 months. I have a few four letter words that desribe the customer service of gateway. Rest assured my business and all businesses I work with will receive the info on my experiance and rest assured NONE of us will be purchasing any gateway products after today. Nice support for your clients.

The first one we bought we brought home and turned on. Nothing happened. We called the store and we were told to return it because they thought the company forgot to install the operating system. That was nice to know. We returned it and received a replacement, that one seems to work fine. Guess we should had bought two to start with. Hope the second one stays responsive.
