I do not cook meals in it but I use it for things like instant oatmeal, reheating, boiling water, etc. My old microwave was a GE over-the-range also, and the new one fit in the same spot but had to have the brackets removed and the new ones installed because they weren't in the same spot as the old one. such things should be standardized to make them more compatible when replacing.

Works great, looks good, and easy to use. At a great price, what's not to like.
